Pros +
- Location and staff
- Amazing location, my room was actually right by the estuary with the water lapping at the veranda at high tide, fyi some rooms don't actually face the estuary. Nice to be woken by the honking of Canada geese (it was quiet honking as the double glazing does work).
- Very good location nice place and nice view
Cons -
- No air conditioning and extractor fan in toilet
- My only criticism is that the vegetarian/vegan choices on the menu were limited to 3 and none very exciting. I stayed 3 nights but after 2 nights eating in I went out for the 3rd.

Perfect location
The room was very cold. The heating should have been turned on well in advance of our arrival.
Location and view was good.
No hot water on 2nd day and had to have a cold shower, insufficient heat from the electric towel radiator in bathroom leaving the bathroom floor wet from condensation during the nights. No breakfast included in the price which is disappointing because the restaurant food is good. There is an option of using a cafe a few yards down the road and show your room key to obtain a ten percent discount on your breakfast, but feel an on-site breakfast should be included in the price.
Little challet in the grounds of the main hotel, facing the estuary. Great for bird watching at tide change. Good car park. Resteraunt for evening meal if required. Breakfast offer with nearby cafe. Ideal road links for exploring.
Outside chalet is seasonal and can feel a bit like camping out in wet winter. But it had heating. So it was warm inside.
Everything was as expected, I have stayed before, therefore was happy to book again. The room was comfortable and clean, with a decent size bed.
Clean and peaceful
Wasn’t too keen on the view when the tide was out
We stayed in a lovely studio overlooking the water. It was cosy and comfortable and had everything we needed including fresh milk, filtered water, good wifi and an outside seating area. The pub was great for dinner and we loved our breakfast at ‘Birdies Bistro’ next door.
Our lodge was ideally situated with balcony and superb views over the RSPB reserve between Hayle and Lelant. Very comfortable accommodation with tea and coffee making facilities. Excellent restaurant for lunch and evening meals.
Lovely location, spotless room with a beautiful view. Staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
Wifi signal was poor.
Location & comfort.Fascilities in lodge & views.Good to have a fridge in room.
The childrens playground and the green area in front of the cottages are well kept and very clean. The check in and out is easy and quick.
I liked that it was cleaned and ok when we arrived even one day later they came to clean the room again.
It was a terrible terrible smell like black water from the bathroom till the moment we were taking shower and after that the smell was never going away even though we always kept the door of the bathroom closed and window open. I think maybe the water was smelling that bad bcs before taking shower when we arrived there everything was ok after taking shower was smelling and never going away.
Very comfortable bed. Nice to have not just a kettle but also a pod coffee maker and milk frother. Very good restaurant. Location on the water was perfect. Definitely found our favorite place to stay in this area.
Nit picking maybe but the bath was so short to be unuseable as a bath. I'm not that tall but couldn't sit in the bath without knees being raised.
The view was wonderful as it was right on the estuary. The room had everything that we needed.
The room was small but the view made up for this
Location was very good and the chalets were away from the main property.
Play area in front of the chalets for children.
Very comfortable room, with great facilities and beautiful views
The rooms are large, we got a bathrobe, slippers and towels. The equipment also included washing liquids and coffee and tea that's a great plus!
Unfortunately, there were a lot of spider webs, 15 large spiders.... The silicone was peeling off and it smelled terribly damp. Milk should not be in an opened bottle because it is unhygienic so we didn’t know what was there…
Location was superb. Restaurant staff were great, manager was nice. Ample parking, lovely views, close to amenities, close to Hayle bay and all of ST IVES.
The room should have been a little cleaner, there were hairs in the bathroom, long black hair, both of the females in our party have blonde hair, the hairs remain the following day after the room was made up, maybe even worse. Other than this the room was genuinely lovely.
