The Caledonian Hotel

Mold in the showers. Waited an hour to check in after ringing the bell three times to find out the clerk also doubled as the bartender. In both roles was not welcoming or friendly. Instant coffee in rooms and internet was a joke

Room was great, bed was huge and comfy and the room very warm. Breakfast was great and we used the restaurant for a meal on arrival and that was very good also.

The floorboards on the corridor on the 1st floor and in our room really very creaky which was a wee bit annoying.

Comfortable room and beds. Excellent buffet breakfast. Good location in centre of Leven.

Shower cubicle was a bit small.

Close to the train station, friendly staff, helpful, accommodated holding our luggage for the day so we could go out and explore.

Bed was comfortable. Clean room and in a great location. Staff friendly

Bath tub was too high. No handle bars to hold on. Almost fell. No ramp for handicap to get to rooms.

Update rooms, install airconditioners. The seagulls and pigeons were loud, and I couldn’t close the windows because the room was too warm.

Second time staying at this hotel and plan to stay again. Great location for beach, shops and exploring Fife.

Enjoyed what was on the menu..

Shortage of ingredients for meals.. ie lorne sausage as I was looking forward to it

Problem with t v. in room.......however the issue was resolved to our satisfaction. Hotel manager was extremely helpful and we received a Greene King gift card as compensation.

Perfect for a week spent in Leven on business. Less than a minute walk from the beach for an evening stroll too. Modern rooms, equipped with tv, iron, kettle etc., everything one would need for a short stay. Staff lovely also

Breakfast was superb,well prepared food and lovely breakfast room.Quality staff who work extremely hard! Could do with maybe,extra staff to cope with demands?

The "Pillows" we're awful to be honest! And could take a lead out of "Premier Ins" pillows??

Funny smell in corridor and pint glass sat outside a room from 7pm - 11:30Seemed short staffed at breakfast with only 2 people working the breakfast area

Clean, and comfortable hotel for an overnight stay. Parking on site.

Room was clean, especially the bathroom which is always a good sign. Most of the staff were friendly.

Floors were very creaky throughout the hotel so you could hear people walking around in their rooms or walking past your door. Breakfast on the Saturday morning was not well organised. One poor waitress serving a dining room full of people by herself. No cups or side plates left by the time we got there, and the coffee was freezing cold. Bad management when they knew how many people were booked in!

Central location, although the town itself is quite run down. Staff very good. Food and prices are reasonable. Hotel clean and tidy.

Overall we were quite pleased with hotel. Nothing to complain about. It's not 5 star but you're not paying 5star prices.

Comfortable bed. Lovely large room. Very pleasant & helpful staff. Delicious breakfast.

Everything was fine enjoyed my stay close to rail station bus station and a local beach and fully suited my needs would stay again no problem
