Holiday Inn Express Leigh - Sports Village By IHG

Good, but not perfect

We stayed for several nights, and after a little while the lack of variety to the breakfast menu got somewhat tedious, but it seems that the hotel chain has standardized breakfast across all hotels. The car park really got to me.....the whole area is an irregular shape, and on a curve, I really struggled to get comfortable with my parking at times.

the sausage at breakfast

We didn't sleep due to the noise coming from the room opposite, throughout the night. We couldn't find a phone to contact the front desk and ask for their help. And the front desk staff showed no interest in finding out about the problem and making amends when we checked out.

Modern clean

The bed was so uncomfortable and so small for the room and for 2 people to sleep in it

Reception staff were very helpful, both on arrival and departure. Breakfast was good, room was clean and functional.

Ensuite would benefit from a deep clean around the bath / shower, this is due to environmental factors

Almost everything was as expected, no real surprises or disappointments. Everything you need is within walking distance - shops, restaurants, etc.

Breakfast was terrible. There was nothing you could call a salad. Remember, this is the Sports Village - check the calendar of events or you could be in for a noisy night. We were lucky and the place was nice and quiet.

Good location, clean and good breakfast

The air conditioning was very load and hard to sleep. Metal grinding sound. Told front staff they didn’t seem to care said that’s normally how it works I find that very strange.

We always stay here whenever we come to Leigh. We can guarantee a comfortable and relaxed stay. The inclusive breakfast is tasty and plentiful. The staff are accommodating and cheerful. We find the location handy for Leigh town center.

Nice modern hotel close to Leigh.

Sink in bathroom had problems.

location, breakfast , cleanliness

Air condition worked but was a high pitch screaming sound so could not be used at all,

20% off food and drink Leigh Leopards playing.

Room very dusty. Aircon/Heating didn't work.

Great price and with breakfast. Clean and welcoming.

All good

Modern , clean and an excellent breakfast

Nothing except there being no bus service into Leigh at weekends which the hotel has no control over .

Good clean hotel and lots of car parking.Breakfast was good.

Good position . Good breakfast . Comfortable room

the room lacked basics expected - the room has maintenance issues - no minor issues attended to that were evident 12 months ago -room 105 was in same condition as 12 months ago. facilities need updating eg USB port

food range and quality

Staff were so helpful & friendly. Was able to check in early which allowed me to get to my event earlier. Breakfast was lovely and well organised. Room was clean and comfortable.

Very clean and beautiful food

It's a good 15 minutes walk to get a bus to anywhere

Location, free parking, quiet room backing onto brook. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Shower was brilliant.

Just a minor, not enough tea/coffee/milk

Cheap, convenient, warm, decent sized room.

Bed too small, breakfast not great, not much choice.

Nice, clean & comfortable. Easy to get to
