- The room was a good size and actually had AC (which is not a given in London). The aesthetic was overall pretty good, although there were a few places in the halls and the like that could have used a bit of TLC. Most of the staff we interacted with were polite and professional, and the food was good. For being directly next to the landing end of one of the Heathrow runways, you had to try and hear the planes going by from the rooms, which impressed me. Also, it’s one stop from Heathrow, making it an excellent location for morning flights at a good value.
Cons -
- Smell of hotel, uncoordinated staff, confusion
- See above
- On the 5th floor, some of the labels for where to find the elevators were misleading at best. But more significantly, alarms briefly went off while we were at dinner, which the staff advised we ignore, and then alarms briefly went off on our floor at shortly after midnight, in the same manner as the dinner alarms. As a result, I’d called reception to see if it was another false alarm or something we needed to respond to and the receptionist hung up on me. Neither the state of the hotel, with the evident alarm system problems, nor the response to an inquiry about a faulty alarm system were what I would describe as appropriate.

I booked in May for a stay in September. Was informed in August that the hotel had to close and I would be relocated to another equivalent hotel, but communication was dismal, unclear and incomplete (only 1 room relocated instead of two). No News about the other room at all.Took over 10 messages and follow-ups, one international phone call with Booking.com, still no news until few days prior to stay. Then got informed we were relocated in two different hotels. Unacceptable.

The Atrium Hotel Heathrow transferred my booking to another hotel due to emergency renovations.
The new hotel location was hard to find

The new hotel location was hard to find
Diring renovation I wss transfered to other hotel with the same facility despite the transfered hotel cosyed more
Appalling result.
The hotel was taken over for migrant accommodation before our arrival and despite assurances from Booking.com these were not transferred to an alternate hotel. This cause a lot of confusion, stress and additional expenditure. Communication with Booking.com was a nightmare and felt like communication with a poor AI bot- completely useless.
This Hotel is closed!
I have been asked by booking.com to give my review. We did not get to stay at this hotel, its on booking.com's website and they took our money for it BUT the hotel has been closed for a year! At the last minute we were asked to move to the Radisson. The Radisson was good however all requests made to The Atrium were not honored by the Raddison, probably because they didnt know.
The receptionists were fantastic. They were friendly, polite and helpful
The restaurant manager was rude and racist to my son and I. We were seated at the restaurant eating when he, Mr Fernandes, the restaurant manager, walked up to us and asked us to move to the other side of the restaurant, the ala carte side of the restaurant. I asked him why, and he responded that they needed the space for other guests! I was shocked and embarrassed because he did not approach any of the other people who were white - he only spoke to us! I reported this to the duty manager, who said she would handle the situation, but no one has contacted me since we left. He could not tell us why we were the only people asked to leave, not the others. As the only black people there at the time, he seemed to think we didn't belong there, that's why he had the audacity to ask us to leave. We were paying guests just like the white people who were there! We were truly disgusted by his behaviour, and not having any feedback from the hotel after my complaint tells me a lot about how we are viewed even when we paid in full for their services. The restaurant manager was simply racist, rude, and unprofessional. The hotel seemed to have just taken it very lightly with no regard for our embarrassment and degradation.
Bad
didnt get the chance tomstay there said it "was closed for refurbishment" yeh really,we know why, thengovernment took it over, wounder why!,,,,,
Location is good for being near Heathrow.
Noisy, not ideal for a good night's sleep before an early morning flight. The tube station does not have any escalators or lifts, so not good if travelling with heavy luggage.
Great and speedy check in and out, friendly staff, room was basic but clean and comfortable.
A bit of a pain to get to from the airport. There is a shuttle but it is relatively expensive. Also the hallways are very long. If you have any mobility issues you would need to mention it when booking to ensure you didn’t end up in a room 200 yards from the elevator.
Just before I arrived I was told the the hotel was closed for maintenance and Booking. com suggested the Moxy as an alternative. I booked the Moxy and was told that the fees for the Atrium would be refunded. At this stage, as far as I can tell this hadn’t been done.
The hotel and room were very clean both inside and outside. The bed was large and comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The WiFi was fast and easy to connect with. The location was just one Tube stop away from Heathrow Airport, which made it easy to get there with all my luggage. The hotel offered free luggage storage with claim tags. The price was very reasonable for London.
The arrival was confusing because there were multiple entrances and reception desks, but only one was being used around ñoon. The check-in process took longer than I think it should have.
Good location
Was told that the tube didn't open until 7am which almost resulted in me missing my train connection
Lovely rooms and immaculate, exceptionally quiet too, we couldn’t hear any air traffic
Parking was confusing but we got sorted, you pay at the desk not as per signage
spa
room was just big empty space, aircon wouldnt cool room well at night, so it was super stuffy. Cancelled our following stay there for no reason
Considering you cancelled our booking a week out from our stay and relocated us to the Radisson, it was a disaster. The room was not what we had booked, the breakfast was overcrowded and we were told we couldn’t go in, which meant missing it altogether. The service was non existent. I wouldn’t recommend either hotel to anyone.
