- We really love The Coorie and have been back several times. We love the location but it is probably not that accessible to someone who doesn't have a car. The food in the cafe is great and there is a nice pub just a short distance away.

I love how sweet and quiet the town is. The people are friendly and the food was amazing.
It’s in a stunning setting and both friends and ourselves were in rooms 5 & 6, In the loft area. Beautiful and great for pre drinks before going out.
There wasn't anything we didn't like
Coorie By the Coast is another worthy addition to our list of favorite accommodations, a hotel that, thanks to the friendly owner who also runs the restaurant downstairs, feels like a B&B despite the fact that it was essentially self-catered. Our breakfasts were delicious and the view of the Firth is incredible, made even better by a sea park that's just a few minutes walk away. The townsfolk were charming and fun to chat with.
Not a thing. It was all wonderful and another place we'd be happy to return to in the future.
It's perfectly situated just across the bridge from Edinburgh and a short ride from Dunfermline, with a view of the sea and the bridges on a clear day. The owner could not have been kinder, helping me sort myself out when I realized I'd made a mistake on the original reservation. The staff were also very warm and friendly. The restaurant was excellent, and extremely popular with the locals, but the room, just a few floors up, was wonderfully quiet. The room was calming and charming in nautical dusty blue, and blissfully comfortable after a long day of traveling. The bed was firm but not too, with an assortment of pillows, the bathroom floor could be heated, the closet was generous, there was a small desk and two window seats (though the sloped roof would make conversation between them a bit comical), the shower was large with excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. If they added plush robes and an extra blanket, I don't think any 5 star hotel could do better.
Honestly my only challenge was the popularity of the restaurant which made me feel slightly uncomfortable taking up space when there was always a queue for a table by late morning. The dining area could also get quite loud by that time in the day, though mornings were quieter and it may be otherwise at different times of the year. But for late risers and introverts, there is also the Sundial cafe just down the way which is cozy and quiet and criminally under-patronized.Pillows were on the thinner side, but there were plenty of them to compensate. There was a fan that came on with the bathroom light, but it was not too loud.
Lovely quiet location, in a quaint wee village, great room (no view though), easy on street parking
Location, view, cafe, pubs close by
Convenient location for the last night of your trip before heading back to the airport the next morning. Very comfortable bed and spacious room.
This place was beautiful, both the view and the actual lodging itself. We didn't eat in the cafe, but it was very busy, so it must be so good! The bedroom was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, and cozy. The staff was so kind and helpful. Would absolutely book here again!
The property is actually a cafe with rooms on the second floor. The rooms were very spacious and had a king sized bed and two single beds. The toilet was also very big equipped with a large shower. Very comfortable room with just nice heating that was turned on throughout the day. We did not have breakfast there but the latte was very delicious and was purchased using a £5 voucher that was placed in the room by the kind staff. The location is superb as you can see the ocean from the window.
If you are driving, parking is a slight challenge in the day as there are many who visit the cafe during breakfast and lunch. However, during the evening and night, there should be some available spots close to the hotel.
Perfect stay.Staff were so warm and friendly. The room had everything we needed and was spotless.Value for money was outstanding. The scones in the cafe were amazing!Thank you all for making our stay so special.
The stairs could be a challenge with luggage but the staff helped us out, which we appreciated very much.
A very nice, small B&B above a cafe, this was a perfect spot by the coast. The room was great, cafe had a lovely breakfast in the morning and delicious treats in the afternoon. The town of Limekilns is small and cute. I was able to quickly drive to Dumfermline to see the palace and museum.
Only one dinner option in town, which was good, Bruce Arms, but the kitchen was only open 5-7:30, so take note. The Coorie cafe closes at 4:30. The other pub I was was closed M-Tue.
About 30 Minutes from Edinburg. Near the Fife Coast Path. In front of the beach. Parking nearby. Spacious room and bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Well decorated. Friendly owner, Nice Staff. Breakfast and diner in-site. Cosy, beach vibes.
Beautiful room in a fabulous location, staff very welcoming & friendly room very clean fantastic facilities & stunning views across the water . Beautiful way to spend our honeymoon xx
Nothing was all incredible xx
We stayed here prior to boarding our cruise from Rosyth. It’s ideally located. The little village of Limekilns is very pretty. The views across the Firth of Forth are exceptional. Our room had an amazing view, was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and efficient.
Had a brilliant rest, thank you.. stayed here twice both in room 6 which is beautiful with the sky light windows, so cosy!Looking forward to staying here again :)
The location was excellent, as were the views from our room. It was great having two pubs nearby that had almost exclusively locals. We like to get away from the crowds and other tourists, and this place fit the bill perfectly.
