About
In the heart of the charming town of Kilsyth, this modern hotel is surrounded by wonderful views of the surrounding Lanarkshire countryside and the Campsie Fells. The Coachman Hotel has undergone major refurbishment from December 2022 into January 2023. It hosts 11 modern bedrooms with attached bathroom, all of which have wall mounted flat screen smart TV's as well as tea/coffee making facilities. Each comfortable and inviting room is unique with a chic boutique theme throughout to give you the true home from home experience, from crisp linen bedding to textured wallpaper and furnishings. Warm and welcoming, the bar is at once classic and yet contemporary. Furnished and decorated in rich woods, the bar offers friendly service - for your four legged friends too - and a wide range of real ales, bottles lagers, wine and spirits, including, of course, Scotch whiskey. The bustling restaurant offers tasty food made with locally sourced, fresh seasonal produce. Something The Coachman is well known for which attracts visitors from near and far. With live music at the weekends, our restaurant is the place to be! Free wireless internet access is available in the public areas and free private parking is available on site.

The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was great! Staff were so lovely.
The room was a bit cold.
Very comfortable quiet room, was spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.Food was excellent.
No complaints.
On arrival we waited at reception for 10 minutes then my husband had to go to restaurant to ask if there was anyone at reception so we could check in. I would have expected a reception to be manned especially when check in was stated from 3 onwards. No bell to ring for assistance. Now on to room. At this time of year would have expected heating to be in. The room was freezing heater had been turned off and window open Windows were filthy marks on wall. Bathroom was so small you could hardly get in it. This was just unacceptable. The room was extremely tired will never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone
Everything.
Room was large clean and warm
2 single beds, no table available for evening meal, breakfast was poor, service slow, unhelpful staff and overcooked dry food
Nice bar and entertainment, nice breakfast, nice room
The location for a family visit, the clean environment and a good restaurant on site. The staff were excellent, well done.
Very friendly staff. The hotel room was cosy and clean. Breakfast was good and complete. Would recommend the place to anybody.
Car park was quite full upon late arrival, so a bit longer walk with the luggage.
Easy check in ,room spotless, good breakfast, breakfast staff spot on, on both days.
No cookie biscuits in room to have with a cup of tea.
Good food clean property very helpful friendly staff
The staff were very welcoming. The Shetland mussels we had for dinner were amongst the best I’ve ever had. They cater for guests with dogs really well.
Everyone was so nice and friendly which made you feel more relaxed. The food was amazing, couldn’t complain about any of it and they even had a doggy menu which made my dogs happy. We plan on coming back in the future.
I can honestly say there isn’t anything.
Very happy helpful staff clean hotel and good food
The staff were lovely. The beds were really comfy and the breakfast was awesome
There’s a bar and pub on site so it could get a little loud. But it seemed to shut up shop at a reasonable hour and we actually enjoyed the bar!
Staff were so lovely and gave us a room with an extra bed for our boy
From the back car park a sign to say where to go would be great as I wasn’t sure in the rain
I liked the cleanliness, efficient service, and overall welcoming atmosphere.
Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, great food.
Handy for the purpose of the trip knew food would be good as we’ve frequented coachman several times over the years
People smoking on the doorstep disgusting
