The Burnside Hotel

The rooms were very clean, good size and rooms made up every day.

The mattresses were not the best and could do with updating.

We like the bar, food, the table outside the hotel.

Excellent location for our trip,staff very helpful and friendly food from breakfast to evening meals were first class,great bar prices very reasonable and best value for money,will be back as we visit Glasgow 4 or 5 times a year.

Simple, good parking, shower good standard.

Bed was lumpy There was a hen party going on so trying to sleep was impossible as the music was so loud in the rooms. If I'd have known this I'd have not booked this hotel. Maybe a heads up would've been nice and an option to cancel.

The only area to sit was the restaurant no bar. We had our meal @7:00 this was included in our package. My meal was poor fries were cold, fish was bland but my husband chose his from the main menu and paid the supplement and really enjoyed it. the staff were rushing us out of the restaurant from around 9:15 cause they had a busy day and now it was quiet their manager told them they could close, we had to move to the reception area which only had a couple of seats. It really wasn’t welcoming I felt we were an inconvenience so we headed to bed. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Room 3 was a little small for manoeuvring my wheelchair bound sister. Bathroom didn’t have grab b handles.

I didn't know my room was next to a railway line,so I didn't get much sleep.

Rooms smaller than expected. No shelf’s in bathroom. Loads of dark dust behind bedside tables.

We have stayed at the Burnside Hotel for many years now, it is always a pleasure Staff are great the food is amazing and the rooms suit us as they are all at ground level We dined and the restaurant during the whole of our stay,

The bar was nice as was the breakfast area. The staff seemed pleasant.

There was an obvious problem with the plumbing. The first room we were allocated seemed to have a problem with the toilet cistern, the water filling it ran permanently suggesting that the ballcock wasn't working. The room was changed because I didn't want to lie in bed all night to the sound of running water. The bathroom in the replacement room was also disappointing. The spray on the shower was very poor and the wash basin was blocked. I poured some boiling water into the drain pipe to see if that would clear it and this resulted in black slime and hair appearing. What a disgusting mess.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room facilities good (tea/coffee, hairdryer, iron). Shower good.

Free sockets in room hard to access - could easily be solved by adding sockets above desk (even better if USB ones!). Window didn't open.
