Beautiful location! Rural, quiet, wonderful scenery, well maintained, natural, wild animals!

    Some mould around bath.

Great atmosphere and location. Very friendly staff as well.

At breakfast we were given moldy bread buns. The room had an old TV, most rooms in the building had peeling wallpaper/paint. In the pool area, the jacuzzi stank of chlorine to the point where your eyes stung. Overall a brilliant place but definitely needs a bit of a spruce up!

We liked the location and spa facilities.

Bodily fluids on the carpet by the bathroom door. The menu was a set menu, but as a vegetarian the options were very minimal. I was told to choose from 3 options, and told the other menu wasn't available. The couple beside us were eating from the "unavailable" menu. Very disappointing with the options available and cost £80 for 2 meals. The price of drinks was extortionate, £28 for 2 drinks was a disgrace, the gin was served in a tumbler glass when there was gin glasses available. Overall highly disappointed with the service.

    Good location and helpful staff

Although I received a lot of messages prior to my stay none warned me that the (only) lift was out of order. My room was on the 2nd floor. Internal signposting to the restaurant could be better - I went externally in the cold and rain. The bath could have been cleaner

The spa facilities were excellent. Yes they were a little busy on a wet, January afternoon but the jacuzzi was great, as was the pool, sauna and steam room. Hotel is very atmospheric and staff were friendly. Will try the golf course when the weather is better

Some furnishings were a little tired but all very clean and the bedroom was nicely presented with a comfy bed

    Pool and saunas

Fire alarm around 7:30 am went off, but it got us up early for the pool

It is a favourite of ours and we love the spa facilities

The prices for four have risen massively We were there in Oct25 and paid £16 avg main and this time we paid £25.50 each for a main courseBooking.com also have half board listed in the pricing which is very misleading as it WAS NOT half board and we had to pay for our evening meal when we had thought it was included Linden hall staff confirm they have several complaint about this issue and say they have asked booking.com not to be so misleading but nothing has changed

    1. Staff friendly and professional; they allowed change of reservation due to personal circumstances which was highly appreciated.2. Well kept surroundings.3. Cannot comment on the dinner or lunch as did not use such services.

    1. Spa early closure on 1st Jan (7PM instead of 8PM) was not advertised, not a major issue but could have been stated at the check-in the indication sheet2. Spa accessible area(which comprises a swimming pool + steam room + 4 people jacuzzi + sauna) was not checked/supervised, as a result I found in my experience very noisy with some families treating it as their own property, people staying in jacuzzi forever, children let jumping and be loud - just check you're ok with this potential scenario and good luck to ask them to be more considerate; it is a common area and I'd expected it to be a lot less noisy and people using it to have minimum common sense and less feel of entitlement.Lockers in changing rooms have seen better days and can do with an upgrade.3.Mobile phone are not allowed in Spa, however a lady carried one, when I pointed out that it was not allowed the reply was that it was to take a picture to someone else, as if I said something wrong or not suitable for the situation, instead of receiving the expected apologies for not following guidance -rules are for all in a common space, you'd like to think.Hotel staff have no responsibility on such behaviour of course and it is not their fault, but this is what I found during my stay and did not like it a bit, might do with a reminder to customers at the beginning of their stay of the rules for common space.4. Parking can do with better indications and lights outside, especially when arriving when it's dark as you can miss several free spots.5.I found the breakfast choice to be basic for the price paid; this is not an all you can eat of course, but I found choice limited.

Decorated really well, view from room of the golf course was great, staff very accommodating, pool and sauna were great

Some of the room furniture seems outdated, leaking tap over the sink as well as bathroom door didn’t close or lock properly

    4HayleyPosted on: 1-3-2026

Grounds were beautifulSpa was amazingFood in restaurant on evening was beautiful.

Room was very overpriced for what we got it was freezing cold, very old fashioned and desperate for an upgrade. The shower over bath tricked out cold water.£18 for a breakfast sausage bacon not cooked fully mushroom very greasy.

    8LaurenPosted on: 1-2-2026

It was a beautiful property and the grounds were lovely

I found some of it needed some TLC in the bedroom especially and bathrooms.

    6AbigailPosted on: 12-31-2025

Nice location, lovely staff and nice room and breakfast was good. Spa was enjoyable but a bit dated.

Bathroom was small compared to room, cracked sink and two lights didn’t work so couldn’t see well in the bathroom. Food at the hotel pub was horrible so we sent it back and went hungry as there were no other options, atmosphere was also not great as everyone was seated in one corner.
