Pros +
- The location was great, it’s very central and perfect for exploring Chichester. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Charlotte. The breakfast was excellent too.
- Checked in was easy he carried our cases up the stairs.Everything The bar staff friendly, funny, and talk to us. Our room.. was upgraded fantastic, lovely and comfortable Breakfast was fantastic. Already booked for for next year.
- Very pretty building. Large comfortable room and lovely dinner in the restaurant. Friendly staff. Great location for a weekend visit to Chichester with easy access to Pallant House, the Cathedral. Good breakfast.
Cons -
- Can’t think of anything to dislike, perhaps some might find the stairs up to the bedrooms a challenge, but it wasn’t a problem for us.
- Nothing but be aware that the rooms are on the second floor with no lift.
- Entrance to Rooms show signs of neglect to carpets. Boutique superior deluxe bedroom we were allocated was warn and in need of updating and freshening. Website showed Superior deluxe room having a bath within the bedroom but there was no bath at all in the room only a small shower. Water pressure was poor. No air -conditioning. View from window was over a flat roof and back of a scruffy courtyard. Coffee machine had not been maintained so did not work correctly. Breakfast service was great, but poached eggs were un-cooked and unedable. I messaged at time of booking to inform staff this was my wife's birthday and didn't get acknowledge even by way of a response. A very disappointing experience for what was ment to be a special weekend for my wife's 55th Birthday celebration.

Staff very friendly and welcoming. Location perfect. Breakfast extremely good. Room better than expected, decent size, lovely shower and well decorated. Pre theatre Dinner at the restaurant amazing!
The room was beautiful, spacious and cozy. The breakfast was immaculate and the staff were very courteous.
Fabulous bed linen
I would of expected larger bath towels, a choice of a pastry for breakfast & a hairdryer that didn’t over heat for £200 a night! No parking either!
Staff were really lovely, very cheery and helpful in every respect and that’s what makes a good stay. The room was spacious and very well equipped. Breakfast was good, everything was clean and their were no issues with noise or disturbance at all despite being in a city centre.
Pillows slightly firmer and they clearly need a harder-wearing carpet on the stairs.
Cosy snug seating outside with delicious cocktails, very comfortable bed & clean room
Service was very slow to order drinks & sadly only single glazed window so extremely noisy until the early hours of the morning from the pub across the street so take ear plugs!
everything, the room was big with a nice view over the restaurant, the staff were nice especially the lady at breakfast who served us and the breakfast itself was nice.
we would definitely stay again, my only suggestion would be veggie sausages at breakfast.
Location was excellent - small but perfectly formed room and tasty breakfast
Expensive
Absolutely love this hotel our 2nd visit room beautiful had the same room both times hoping to visit again in November.staff cant fo enough for you
Everything was good
Stylish, spacious room. Paul and Sam and their teams made us so welcome. Purchases has an outstanding bar, with an extensive wine list expertly curated by Sam. Food is absolutely outstanding. This is hospitality in the UK at its very best.
Clean and comfortable.
We were ok with 36 stairs, but we didn't have big suitcases. Car parks are a little way away.
Superb location, smart and very comfortable boutique style room. Tasty breakfast made fresh to order and served in attractive restaurant by extremely efficient and friendly staff.
Location, Staff, Room Decor
Rooms very warm at night and road noise if windows open
Stylish accommodation in a good location for shopping, pubs and restaurants. Compliments to the chef and team both dinner and breakfast fantastic.
Given the inflated room price because of Goodwood Revival there could be some flexibility for earlier breakfast times. From 8 on Fridays and 9 on Saturdays we missed the start of Goodwood.
Central
Total darkness in street after midnight with little street lights in that spot, we walked past it
The decor. The staff. The food.
A continental breakfast option
