- Hidden charges, car park not...
- Room was comfortable ands clean.
- I arrived after midnight after a 7 hour trip down from Perthshire in Scotland that saw delays due to roadworks, closed junctions and so on. Parking was a little tight due to the resurfacing works, but I eventually found somewhere. The chap on reception / bar was lovely and welcoming, even though it was late and he was obviously starting to clean stuff, put things away etc. He was very friendly as he checked me in and helped me register my car number plate etc.Once I had unpacked in my room I decided I wanted a drink and went back to the bar for a glass of wine. A large glass and so reasonably priced...and it was nice as well! It was genuinely my birthday when I left Scotland, although the delay on the motorway meant I celebrated one day late. Not your fault!!In the morning, to have a full cooked breakfast, with lots of choice is always a bonus, and even more so at this price point in UK hotels. Again, the cook was chatty as he supervised us serving ourselves. You do seem to have very nice staff!
Cons -
- Paid for parking but couldn’t get a space! Had to pay £15 for early check in even though the room was ready. Had to pay £5 for parking. Bottom of shower dirty.
- Car parking was on the adjoining Motorway services overnight when hotel car park was full, but only a very short walk.
- Car parking, but that is obviously a temporary issue, as you are resurfacing the current car park.

The location
The bedroom had a variety of issues: nets hanging off the rails, curtains not quite wide enough to cover the window, duvets were thin, one bed had a high pitched squeak, and there was terrible droning noise that kept me from sleeping and started to give me a ringing in my ears. On arrival, there was a huge generator outside with leads coming off of it keeping both front doors opening making the whole hotel freezing cold and not once was there an apology, explanation or forewarning.
It was a ok room it was comfy and the bed was really nice.Overall I would still come back as it was in a really good area and suited really well for me.
My shower was very stiff and took a lot of strength to move it and my temperature would go up and down regardless of if you left it in hot also there was a lot of limescale on the head of the shower which could of been cleaned. There were some corners of the room that were dusty and had cobwebs in.
Welcomed with a smile checking in experience as expected, assistance offered if required clean sheets and towels as expected. Helpful staff. the accommodation is close to shops etc.
the room offered was not aired musky smell old carpets, with an uncomfortable bed, mattress is old could feel the springs therefore not a comfortable nights sleep.
I was in an upgraded room therefore the bed was comfortable and the room smelt clean
Check in experience was good however marred by very bad customer experience for the rest of my stay
The room was below standard carpet is old requires upgrading bed extremely uncomfortable can feel the springs in the bed room smells musky. There was a complete power outage no electricity from 9.30 pm until checking out at 8am the following morning . No emergency preparedness or plans in place for hotel guests. Given the severity of the disruption, the lack of basic amenities, food hot water etc, and the complete absence of customer service support. I was not given an apology or response to my formal complaint email sent 7 days later other than only mentioning a refund.
Bad
Room was dirty room was cold as window didn't close
The restaurant food was good. Awful staff at the hotel reception who allocated me a disabled person’s room (with low height bathroom mirror) despite me not having booked one/requested for a disabled person’s room. I realised this when it was around midnight. The reception staff were not present when I wanted to buy water. There was no bell at the reception to draw their attention. After some time a guy came out. The hotel was very poorly sign posted and I had to drive 2-3 times at the motorway exit. When I opened the window. there was a lot of noise (expected from nearby motorway) but there was a lot of stench from nearby swampy area outside the hotel. The last straw was that there was absolutely no liquid soap in the dispenser in the shower area. I realised this after I had fully wet myself under the shower.

It is close to work, clean and quiet
We had no electricity in the morning and no one cared to advise or apologise . It was very difficult to get ready for work at 6 in the morning in the dark . I emailed to ask for a feed back twice and no reply. Also the internet was not working and the room was freezing
Clean
Room not cleaned and fresh towels not provided until the 2nd reminder
The room.was clean and warm
the bathroom was dirty and the bathroom drain was clogged
I have had a very good experience with the hotel every night I have stayed regards David
Quite clean friendly willing to help.
Breakfast was ok
Broken sink with large crack, shower tray collected water & didn’t drain, carpet looked old & grubby, large generators outside front door with covered cables trailing through reception, curtains were missing hooks.
Location ok
I could of stayed at a much higher end hotel for the price in ended up costing me with all the extra charges. £5 per car£20 for a dogWas woken a few times by people in the hallsRoom smelt of tobacco Dark and dingy Stayed a few times before and was great for a cheap night but now with the added extra costs in not worth the money.
I requested flexibility on an early check in the staff were fantastic and accommodated the request.
The brakefast was fine but the location is in service station which I haven't expected its not worthy of staying.
I have booked for 2 days, Unfortunately, there was no electricity throughout the night, and as a result, breakfast was not available the next morning. The electricity did not return until after we had checked out. This was very frustrating for us, especially as we were traveling with children, and we expected better service from a Ramada hotel. Appreciate if the hotel people will refund the for 1 day atleast, as there was no electricity in the rooms and no hot water to take showers or washroom

I love the location and the staff were friendly
The first night after a hectic day there work. I arrived there was a power cut. I use cpap I was unable to sleep properly due to my OSA. I couldn’t have a shower and the room was cold due to no electrics. This power cut lasted all night until 4pm when a generator was connected. The second night was more pleasant. If it was not for the staff I would have left. Big hotel chain like this you must have a back up generator in future.
