Chesford Grange Hotel

The staff...just excellent.

Room fine, but the noisy AC woke me several times during the night. As did the toilet cistern, which made the most unusual sounds! The lambat dinner was so tough I had to request a steak knife to gain entry!

Everyone was so helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. The spa was a great place to spend an hour in the pool. Very accommodating towards children.

Spacious room. Vast property. Lovely grounds (although mushy from the incessant rains). Nice staff. Good pool and spa.

Meandering corridors meant it took 7 minutes from car park to our room at the end!

We had some issues with the first room we had been allocated. After raising concerns, a member of staff provided free drinks at the bar, whilst she found us an alternative room. We were given a free upgrade to a beautiful room. Evening meal & breakfast tasted amazing. Staff were friendly & made our stay very pleasant

The original room we were allocated smelt very unpleasant, stained bedding, a broken lamp & another light that flickered consistantly

Nice hotel, the public areas are very nice, very clean and well presented. Good gym, pool, steam etc.

The WIFI in the rooms was really poor. Also, the heating in the room isn't great. There is a radiator that doesn't pump out much heat, and if you do need extra heat there is a very noisy air con unit in the room. Also the towel rails don't work. I did ask at reception and was told that if I leave the bathroom light / fan on that it would come on. It didn't. Match that with the chilly rooms and you have damp smelly towels. The public areas are great, just the rooms need a bit of updating and TLC.

The night manager expected us to sleep in a room knowing that it is without heating and initially lied that there was no alternative room available. Only offered an alternative after i insisted he contact the manager

Only issue we had was we kept having issues with the toilet. One minute it was ok next the water would rise and seemed like it was blocked.

My husband and i over the years have always stayed at Chestford Grange, as its very pleasant place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms we have stayed in are always clean. The food is very nice. So yes happy.

Lovely large rooms, nice bathroom, excellent breakfast. Lovely staff. A wonderful hotel to stay in.

Not a fan of feather pillows but no doubt, if I had asked for different pillows, the staff would have changed them.

Friendly, helpful staff on reception & in restaurant & bar

On entering room on arrival, the Air Conditioning was not working. Reported to reception immediately. On checking, we were advised unable to fix. This is unacceptable when we had booked a Deluxe room & resulted in us having sleepless nights & had to to forego our 4th night as too tired!!

Good choice and plenty of it.

As far as the room is concerned - the lack of a mirror on the desk and the hairdryer was in the wrong place with having to stand up to dry hair. No room by sink in bathroom to put make up by it. Niggles but could be improved,

Breakfast, bedrooms, pool, gym, service at bar, late check-ou, eveything was great!

Every staff member I spoke to was pleasant and professional, the room was spotless and the food was excellent. The hotel is very modern but also has some lovely old features and seating areas which are very comfortable. It's my 3rd stay and I will definitely stay here again.
