The history and facade of the hotel is impressive. The restaurant and bar staff were lovely and professional. The food in the Brasserie was lovely. Lots of interesting reception rooms throughout the hotel to relax and read a book on a grey February day. The spa had lots of areas for relaxing.
I felt the reception staff to be quite unwelcoming. My biggest issue however is that I paid a slightly higher room cost for a bigger room which sadly overlooked a building site. The room was not clean, mould on windows, dirty carpets, cobwebs. As it was a midweek break, I relayed my concerns to reception who were quite rude and defensive - I appreciate it was fully booked and no option for a room change but the manner I was spoken to was quite unacceptable. A simple apology would have been sufficient. I live in a house built in the 1700s so I don't accept mouldy windows as an excuse due to the age of the building. It simply hasn't been cleaned properly. I wouldn't stay again, which is a shame, because the building is magnificent.
Beautiful building, lovely location, plenty parking & very pleasant!
The Charles Dickens room had no hot water. This was reported immediately in the evening but nothing was done about it. The water was still cold in the morning too which was very poor.
All the staff at Rushton Hall are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Thank you especially to David the concierge who showed us to our room. It was such a pleasure to have a chance to talk to him and find out all about the history of the Hall which is absolutely fascinating. It made our stay even more special. Our room was so peaceful and comfortable. Great bed. The use of the spa is another bonus. The pool is a good size and I can thoroughly recommend booking a treamtent - I had a really wonderful head massage from Elannah. We will definitely be returning!
Lovely atmosphere , some very good staff particularly at breakfast and very nice food.
Fantastic historical building! Really beautiful, interesting. Beautiful location. Friendly helpful staff.
The way breakfast was laid out. Cups in room much too small for early morning tea! Would have liked a later check out but not prepared to pay extortionate price for it.
Rooms, rooms close together, Christmas trees, decorations, log fires, staff, (Ashley was very helpful) historic building, restaurants, indoor pool
Occasionally some of the food was a little cold.
spa, relaxing, food great value
room was cold
Room was great, pool amazing and breakfast was so great. Large buffet style breakfast, all u can eat. £20 pp, well worth it,
Beautiful location, building and grounds.
Full of character. Lovely friendly staff. Spacious and very clean
We loved it all
We really likes the friendly, attentive staff and the food & drinks and facilities.
The lighting in the room was very dingy and whilst the food & drink was good it was expensive.
Good lication, safe environment, lovely bar area and swimming pool
Dinner was very pleasant with very tasty food and excellent service.
There were no suitable cups for drinking tea, only the small coffee cups.
The spa,
Room wasn’t good quite small and pokey
lovely location, great food, very comfy room
The history of the building and the beauty of the grounds.
Our room was small and claustrophobic. Decor is tired. Carpets unhoovered. Mugs missing from coffee facilities. Items not replenished.
We’ve been before and despite the place being ‘a little tired’ we love the Hall
Well a little tired - the room this time had cobwebs going from the light to the ceiling and on the mirror with spiders on the ceiling .The toilet cistern leaked every flush and there was a mechanical werring noise throughout the night - Non Stop .I did report these issues to the staff in reception and as I checked out not one word
