Staff was exceptional! Ive never met such helpful happy staff! Food for a 3 star really was great too and very enjoyable (we only had breakfasts not evening meals)Sauna and steam room super hot how we like it.Excellent value for money with all the facilities and nearby town. You get what you pay for its excellent for the money! Will definitely stay here again when in this area!

Obviously it is slightly dated (decor) didnt affect our stay we had a fabulous time all 6 adults and 3 children :)Hot tub could of been hotter but didnt stop us going in nor would it stop us re booking!

    Disappointing

Room a bit dated turned radiatorndown but was very hot. Room located above I am guessing boiler Room as very noisy... either a fan or generator from 8am woken and couldn't get back to sleep. Not at all relaxing

Poor room, freezing cold, uncomfy bed and fittings, tiny bath, trickle of a a shower. Great location poor room.

    7AllanPosted on: 1-28-2026

Hotel is close to the centre of town. Dinner was excellent. The staff were excellent. there is no way to add a tip to the restaurant bill other than leaving cash.

Shower was electric with low power and only 45 seconds of hot water. Breakfast was served on cold plates which meant that it had to be eaten very quickly. There is no way to leave a gratuity for the excellent staff.

    Over priced dirty needs refurbishing

    4RuthPosted on: 1-19-2026

Love the location like using the sauna steamroom and Jaccuzzi.

The room run down stains on the carpet mould on the ceiling cracked bath panel old rusty bathroom bin. Worst room ive ever stayed in at the property as its my 5th visit.

    Everything was excellent

    Breakfast ok

The stairsI had phoned several weeks before about disabled access and they said just several stairs. However when arriving found 14 steps plus more for breakfast so my husband went without..The manager was ok, he did say that he would look in to it. And we could use the fire escape to get my husband out of a wheelchair and up the stairs.

    Friendly staff

Minus 5c outside at night, central heating in my room, oil filled electric heater not up to the job.Chicken Thai green curry was dreadful, evening menu was very expensive for what it was

    7LindsayPosted on: 1-3-2026

The reception staff very friendly and helpful. It was reasonably priced. Room clean.

Dated, and had some damp visible in the bathroom

Lovely stay, would definitely return. The location was great and really convenient. The staff were absolutely amazing — so friendly and welcoming, and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Breakfast was lovely with a nice choice, and the room itself was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. Overall a really pleasant stay.

The hotel could benefit from a bit of updating in places, but this didn’t affect the stay and there was nothing i didn’t like.

The location of the hotel is in a really lovely town with and is close to explore some local areas.

The whole place looks nothing like the photos. We were put in a dog friendly family room despite not having a dog and both nights were disturbed by dogs barking after being left unattended in their rooms. We didn't know we were in a dog friendly room until we were putting our 3 year old to bed. When we let reception know they responded quickly and spoke to the guests but on the first night they must have told the guests it was us which resulted in them knocking on our door incessantly until we answered. All this whilst trying to get our 3 year old to bed. The room smelt of dog and there were dog hairs on the beds. The room was not very clean. Ceilings, doors, walls, skiritng, are dirty and there are cobwebs everywhere. The bathroom is so small you can barely get an adult and child in there together which seems odd for a family room. The hot tap of the bath was not sealed in and so moved around. There was mould all round the bathroom including the ceiling. The curtains in the room were falling off the rails which means it let the light from outside in. There is a light on the building right by the room and they were so dirty that I wasn't going to fix them! The toilet seat moved around, the hair dryer didn't work, several lights didn't work and generally the building is in disrepair. Cracks in the walls and ceilings. The most disappointing thing though was the bed. The double bed was completely concave and had springs poking through. It made sleeping on it almost impossible. Reviews from a month ago suggest the managers were aware of this and committed to sorting the mattress but it hadn't been. The single bad had dog hairs and smelt of dog like it hadn't been changed. You can also hear everything from the rooms next door and corridors and that's without the adjoining door rooms (read other Google reviews!).We were looking forward to using the leisure facilties but we looked in - the door to see in is right as you walk into reception.

Helpful and friendly staff. Ramsbottom historical art on the walls. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Good parking. Nice breakfast.

Noisy radiator in room. No blinds on bathroom window felt a bit strange. Had to drag suitcases up and down stairs (which was fine for us but might be hard for others)

    Fantastic, lovely place & staff

piece & quiet even though very busy staff very attentive.

    7BoothPosted on: 12-22-2025

We liked the room and the staff on reception were very helpful. The breakfadt was very good

That we had been lied to over the phone, I phoned weeks before asking if the hotel was disabled friendly and were told that we could have the only disabled room and that yoy had only a few steps up to the rooms. I am writing this review as my husband has been hospitalised due to the steps.
