Pros +
- Lovely room with a comfortable bed and plenty of space. The bathroom was excellent & cosy on a very cold night.
- Breakfast was provided by pre-packed foods in the room. It was nice enough. Room was comfortable, but hotel is on a main road so a little noisy
- Good location, reasonable priced hotel and considerate staff
Cons -
- Nothing except the milk had run out at the top up station.
- I was charged a service charge at dinner, which was optional probably but did not bother to see it until later. This has not happened previously. To be honest I'm never happy about this as its really free money!!! It may not change my opinion about the hotel and staff but to suddenly find that an unnecessary charge which was never applied before in now. I have eaten in the hotel several times and the food is good. Say no more.
- Booking. Com site implies that all rooms dof friendly.. Luckily I contacted I prior to setting off and Troy explained and swapped us to the Dog Friendly Room.. It was gorgeous.. Can only assume the solid wooden floor made it dog friedly as nothing suggested it could possibly be any "Less" than other rooms.. Unless it was as it was nearest exit? Can't imagine how much "more" the none doggy rooms could possibly be

All of it.. Beautiful room.. Amazingly good value continental breakfast.. Super strong shower. Lovely quality meals.. Customer Service suoerb.. Special mention Troy who managed to swap our room to accommodate our Sausage dog.. Also the other patrons who kindly agreed the swap..

Friendly and helpful staff. Really lovely room - beautifully decorated and furnished, well equipped, very clean, great view. Restaurant food delicious!
A real little gem ! Lovely decor , great value for money ,with lovely views at breakfast with salmon and eggs on sourdough . Staff were lovely !
Rural quaint boutiquey vibe
Bed was a little bit hard
The place is really nice, warm welcome when we arrived. Good selection of drinks the food is bang on also.
Excellent place to stay.Very helpful staff, good food & lovely room.
Nicely decorated room
The couple next door having rampant sex all night which we heard all of
Helpful staff. Comfy bed and room. Continental breakfast provided in the room.
Limited car parking facility. Steps into venue and up to room were a struggle and could have been flagged on booking info
Staff were very helpful when we arrived and offered to help with bags. Room very good size, clean and well furnished. Overnight room was quiet despite being by the main road. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, staff brilliant about my gluten intolerance and my wife being vegan.
Parking was pretty difficult but we arrived during the dinner rush so not surprising. Parked on the street and was able to get onto the car park later.
Ideal location and friendly staff.
We have stayed before a couple of years ago. We enjoyed the Full English Breakfast and that is one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Unfortunately when we were shown to our room we were told it was a continental breakfast and it was in our room. The croissants weren/t good having been sat in our room from the morning before and its not what we like to have when staying in a hotel.
Good food ambience smart easy room
Quirky room with character & views towards Ramsbottom
Room very tired. Carpet worn & very could do with replacing ( & better fitting..) French doors let in draft not ideal when the wind is howling through. Stair carpet leading up to rooms was also worn
Close to the office
Tiny carpark on a hill
Big room, nice staff, great food.
Breakfast room was freezing
Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with good shower. Loved the elegant decor. Convenient location.
Visible, unsightly signs of damp in the bedroom. I have asthma so was a bit concerned when I saw it but we were rushing to get to a wedding. Our room was next to the entrance door so we heard every other guest enter and leave. (Not ideal on NYE
Clean, well appointed, nice decor, helpful staff.
The heating in the room didn't work, at all, and it was -2 outside. The breakfast was disappointing - 1 croissant left overnight in the room which was stale by morning, plus no butter.
This form is not taking much text - I was woken up Christmas Eve at 7:35am by draymen & people moving furniture- no I WAS not dreaming. The curtains were filthy and stank - the ‘continental’ breakfast was horrid- overall my stay at the E&C was a nightmare
I have tried to send a more comprehensive review - but keeps coming back undelivered In summary - a terrible experience alert from the nice staff - I was freezing cold - the heating was hardly put on - radiator not working in the bathroom-
