What a beautiful property! The bedroom was lovely with a very comfortable bed. The whole property has been recently decorated to a very high standard. Delicious food and good real ale! Received an upgrade on arrival, the staff were more than helpful and breakfast served until late!
We had quite a wait for breakfast bit this did not spoil the stay.
The staff were all very helpful and accommodating a very friendly atmosphere so much so we decided to have our evening meal there rather than going out as we had planned. Our room was very nice and clean. Food was good, couldn't fault it we would stay again and recommend to friends.
On our short stay there really wasn't anything I would fault
Location was ideal for a day at the races, just a shame the course was waterloggedI walked the course on Sunday so know what to expect next time
Split level bathroom floor could be dangerousSome tape or different colour could prevent a fall
Beautiful place very nice decor and comfortable rooms
As above
lovely hotel, nice and clean and stff very friendly
i arrived around 7:30 pm, met with a friend and had a meal together.after our meal we where asked to move into the bar area so you could clean.whilst sat chatting around 9:30 last orders was called and then lights started been switch off, found that really disappointing
Lovely hotel , great location, excellent value for money .Room was excellent, clean , comfortable, large bathroom.Breakfast was excellent also , great choice .Only 1 thing , we were on top floor and no lift , not too much of a problem for us , however perhaps could be for less mobile or older guests.
I stayed in a superior room which was big, lovely decorated and comfy. Had a 2 course evening meal from the set menu which was incredible value for money (during the week) and very tasty. Breakfast was great too with nice coffee.
Only couple of small points - the hallway to the room was freezing and the bedside lights have very bright white bulbs (which is the opposite to what you want), all other lights in the room had warm white lights so maybe somebody got the wrong bulbs. There wasn't sufficient light by the desk/ mirror.
The property was warm, cosy, clean and very comfortable.
There was nothing negative about the property.
Excellent location with free parking in pretty, rural market town with full range of shops and independent retailers. Local attractions include Alton Towers, Uttoxeter Race Course and a lovely park a within walking distance of the pet friendly hotel. The Hart is a lovely old building, beautifully refurbished. Staff are welcoming, food is delicious with the breakfast menu offering a good choice including healthy but tasty smoothies. As for dining in general, there is no need to go any else: the roasted pork belly in lightly spiced sauce with crispy cabbage was second to none. Customer service was also excellent.
The hotel appears to have been recently refurbished and it looks great. The room I had was lovely and of a really good size. The powerful shower and plenty of hot water made for a great start to the day. The staff were all very pleasant and engaged with the customers. The evening meal I had from the fixed menu was delicious and breakfast provided some of the best scrambled eggs I have had in a long time.
Nothing, this is definitely a place I would stay again.
The room was recently refurbished to a very high standard, the staff were all very nice and polite. The evening meal we had was delicious and the choice for breakfast was very good.would highly recommend
Very clean, friendly staff. Great service and host from Jake. We felt looked after from stepping through the doors friday evening. Food was amazing, portions fantastic. Great run pub/restraunt making it a great place to stay over. We will be back or at least to the small chain of hotels they have. Well done team.
Well designed and prices was fantastic. Lady staff member at breakfast was exceptional. Food was very good and great value too
Very rude evening bar lady (daytime one was lovely) and paid to upgrade but woken and kept awake 6am-9am by metal cages being unloaded in the adjacent retail park. Should invest in sound proofing. I did write to the hotel to praise positives and highlight negatives but no one cared to reply!
.High standard of refurbishment evident throughout. Our superior bedroom (3) nicely appointed and comfortable with a decent sized bath. Spacious dining areas serving well cooked meals. Very friendly staff. Free parking.
Small observation. Whilst cooked breakfast options were tasty and well presented, there were no additional items on display (fruit/yoghurts/breads or toast) nor was a top up of coffee offered
Central to all shops and restaurants. Extremely clean and welcoming. Rooms beautiful, bed comfortable, shower perfect. Food delicious, breakfast was so good xxxWe loved it would definitely recommend. All staff super friendly.
Minor issues- No white sugar or milk. Went down and sorted quickly. Thankyou.Shower red hot n powerful, but bath tap cold- had to fill bath with shower hose . Room 2. .
Room was large and very comfortable. Great dinner in restaurant and staff.
Breakfast was good but much more limited than you normally get. No buffet/self service. Just order something off menu rather than being able to choose a variety of things.
