Decent sized and the reception were helpful

Our room was right under a staircases we could hear everything. Couldn’t sleep. There was a party on in the hotel, which we don’t mind but as we were located directly under a staircase we were awake throughout the night. Not worth the money

Very close to the centre of town and a great bar and leisure facilities

Unfortunately was a few thing that wasn’t great. The rooms are dated, the tv didn’t work and when I rang reception was told sorry can’t do anything as external problem. Offered to move us to another room but couldn’t guarantee the tv would work either. Bathroom had mould on tiles, and behind the tap. Bathroom bin hadn’t been emptied. I asked for more milk and was told didn’t have any so had to go to the shop and buy a pint. Not worth the money we paid.

Breakfast was good although had to pay extra for it. Room good, soundproofing from upstairs rooms not very good.Location excellent.

Lots of noise from room above. It was a family with children, but in the bathroom you could literally hear their conversation!

Clean, great breakfast, good location

The building is very nice, the bar at reception is also nice and the location was perfect.

The bed was small, the bathroom was dirty and the breakfast came out in stages, so we had to wait a long time for the full breakfast options, by which time much of it was cold.

We had the smallest hand wash basin possible Poor lighting No room service unless requested had to go to reception to replenish tea coffee milk etcWe no mention of car parking charges on booking but were then informed once we had paid that charges had been introduced on January 1st at £7.50 per day

Our room was cozy and we paid extra for breakfast which was tasty and plentiful. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and had a wall mounted magnifying mirror which I find useful these days.

The little cartons of milk on our tea tray must have been out of date as they curdled in the coffee I made. I reported to reception that there had been a 'eggy' smell in the bathroom. Also the breakfast plates for the full English were cold. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Its big and really nice. Decorated tastefully. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Checking in the young lady was polite and very helpful.

Very central and great location. Staff were also helpful as much as they could be.

Stuffy and shabby room. Suffocating hot and dry. Had a terrible night’s sleep. They also had a large private party and the place was a total mess downstairs. No one cleaned up afterwards so all the rubbish was just left there.

Very nice and tidy room. Staff super friendly and was nice to get a Christmas card under the door for Christmas.

Warm reception from the staff. Very hospitable.

Spacious room which looked as though it was recently decorated. Colour scheme was impressive. Clean and comfortable.All you needed in a hotel room.Staff went above and beyond.Delicious breakfast.

A couple of steps on way to reception.A hand rail and shower liner would have been helpful.

Lovely room, very clean and comfortable. Thank you to the chef, who was prepared to start on our breakfast early.

The shower tray was very slippery (great because it was obviously very clean), but a grab rail, and something to hold (apart from the heated towel rail) getting out, would have been useful.

Reception staff seemed friendly.

Room smelled really bad and there was no heat. Radiator didn't work.

There was not sufficient choice of cereal and bread, ( no nuts or granola to be seen), also jams. The cooked breakfast looked good.

This hotel is in the very centre of town. Many of the rooms are modern and are across the yard from the original building. We had one of these and it was exceptional, very spacious, and the ensuite was one of the best I have used. We had breakfast, which was good value and also excellent. The hot food was plated, and served promptly, but I think that was because the hotel was fairly empty. I am guessing there is often a buffet.

Really, nothing. It was a great stay.

Great location on the high street

The room was comfortable but you could hear the fan in neighbouring rooms’ bathrooms when the lights were switched on.

Great location, really close to train station, and right next to the bus station that connects you to Lacock and Castle Combe. Very helpful and friendly stuff.
