    • Value for money. Quiet.

    Cons -

    • Very dated interiors and had to pay parking if booked via booking.com
    • £5 for overnight parking; no sockets next to beds for charging mobile phones :)
    • Other guest had the parking ability of a goat. Plenty of parking spaces out the front unusable due to inconsiderate people just parking over two bays

I liked that there were quite a few places that served food within walking distance, most of the staff were absolutely amazing but unfortunately 2 staff members were a little aloof.

It is a bit in the middle of nowhere so we had to drive about 30minutes either way because there’s no connection from one side of the highway to the other so we had to drive back in ourselves quite a lot.

The room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfy and very good blackout curtains. Very good value for 1 nights stay. Location was ideal.

Dressing table lights didn’t work and we could have done with an extra chair.

    7MichaelPosted on: 2-5-2026

Easy to find, clean and comfortable room, handy to have the shop in the services. Reasonable parking charge.

    7PhilipPosted on: 2-2-2026

The staff were freindly and helpful, the location itselfnis easy as on rught sude of motorway for trip up country. The room was clean and the hotel quiet.

The room was a little shabby, formica peeling on TV surround, room opposite being fumigated (warning sign about ozone), carpets in hallway stained, very few on sight amenities (microwave). Extra charge now for parking overnight.

Location ,accessible from A38 or M5.Shower and bath available.Tea or coffee making facilities.Dog friendly.

Dogs are now £20...not long ago they were £5 !! Parking too has a charge of £5 ,and is a recent addition. It seems a reasonable priced Hotel is becoming expensive. We have stayed here several times but will now consider elsewhere.

Clean and comfortable though no heating in room on arrival

Parking situation. Signage immediately alerts to £100 fine if reg no not given to reception. Machine not working so manually input by staff AND had to pay £5 to park o/n. Not a good look for using the hotel

    3MihaelaPosted on: 1-29-2026

Room was okay, had facilities and was comfortable, only negative was no electrical plug next to bed

I got a parking fine when I stayed there, no one told me I have to pay for parking.... I would've rather pay 5 pounds than 60.

    8AlistairPosted on: 1-28-2026

Cheap and basic, but met my needs

Some minor damage in bathroom. Sorry pair of underwear left behind bathroom door. £5 parking fee not mentioned upfront.

    10RichardPosted on: 1-27-2026

Nice clean and warm room. I received a nice welcome from the lady on reception.

Nothing - very convenient as i was working close by.

    4NatashaPosted on: 1-19-2026

the staff were very friendly and when I had issues they were dealt with very promptly

there was mold on the walls and ceiling of the bathroom, and I received a parking ticket having paid for parking at the hotel.

    9JamiePosted on: 1-14-2026

Great value, friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed and the shower gel smells really nice.

No plug to charge phone next to bed. Towel heater rail didn’t work. Traffic noise noticeable through the night. Room a little tired in places.

    5AnnaPosted on: 1-5-2026

    Friendly receptionist on front desk.

Mould in the bathrooms, worn out rooms and appliances.

    1KaterynaPosted on: 1-5-2026

    Bad

It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was dirty and smelly. And there was a problem with the drainage, the water would not drain from the sink. The parking costs extra £5 despite being in a motorway area.
