The shower pressure was very poor, and shower head a little too loose to angle correctly but it was hot and spotlessly clean.

Hotel was fine and suited my requirements for a one night stay. I cannot take fault with the room, the bar, the breakfast etc - all good

I don't want to be ultra-critical but for more than a one night stay I would be hesitant on re-booking. As I said,for one night, absolutely fine-I removed little from my bag. But if I was staying longer I would struggle with the minimal clothes storage?

Great stuff. Good breakfast. Friendly bar.

Some rooms are very small. Small beds (not all but some) are good for one person, but not big enough for a couple.

Good value. A good tavern experience. Not hotel-level amenities, but good food and good staff.

Shower fiddly and took a long time to get the temperature right, also had to stand close to the end of the bath. Only two tea bags supplied.

I had a lovely stay at The Malt House, when visiting for a wedding at Berkeley Castle. It's a great location for walking to the castle. I had a very generously sized room and the most delicious breakfast! Although the hotel and location were great my absolute favourite thing was the staff - everyone was so kind, warm and welcoming. They went above and beyond to ensure I had a good stay and made me feel so comfortable while staying by myself.

The location. The food. Relaxing atmosphere in the communal areas. The staff lovely and friendly. The beds were comfortable. We were nice and warm.

The room was awful we were very unhappy. Cramped, Noise from a machine or something. outside. The bathroom tatty. We expected better for the money we paid. We will not be back although we intend to visit Berkeley more often. We will find somewhere else to stay outside of Berkeley and drive in. We do not mind paying a good price for nice accommodation but disappointed in MaltHouse.

Really friendly welcome, staff and the food was amazing. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The location for explore this last of Gloucester was spot on, easy to get around. I would recommend this hotel as a short break if exploring the surrounding area.

I felt the rooms need a little tlc, our main bedroom was big enough but not superior as it was listed as, esp as we went for the bigger option. The bathroom was tired and needed an overall with attention to the shower and bath area. The toilet roll was in a container that was locked, not something I wanted to see when in a hotel. Felt like I was in a shopping centre cubicle without the bath! The room was also a bit dark, the lighting had to on even when it was a bright day

Breakfast very good at the time I needed for my short journey to work. Late check out time was good and the staff were very helpful.

No shower gel or shampoo.

Had a lovely one night stay , very friendly and prompt check in. Room lovely and comfortable , beds very comfy. Freshly cooked evening meal which was really good., staff very friendly. Breakfast very good. Would return if we are in the area again

Had a lovely stay here. Very welcoming from the minute I arrived and a nice room with everything I needed. Food was very nice, would happily stay again next time I’m in the area.

Good location. For breakfast i had a Full English which was excellent. Rooms where a decent size clean modern decor. Bathroom was clean.

Shower was quite slow to warm up. But really not that much of a problem. Breakfast stopped serving at 8.30am.

Loved staying here, very welcoming staff who couldn't do enough for us. Beautiful rustic features. Large and well presented bedroom and private bathroom with all amenities we could need. Bar area was lovely with lots of choices. Location is only a few minutes from local shops and the stunning Berkeley Castle. Breakfast was perfect. We had the full English breakfast, tea, and juice. In addition, we had the options of cereals and other items. There were no limitations of one choice or the other. Plenty of parking and area felt very safe. Thank you team x

The mattress was a little firm for me, but that is personal preference. There is a slight dip to one side that may need checking, but DO NOT let this deter anyone from booking! It's just an observation that I'm sure the team will look into. It was a wonderful stay, and we will again without hesitation

Nice and quiet, easy to chill after a days work. Bar is good and the menus provide enough choice for everyone. Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful

If I had to pick anything, it would be the shower head in room 4. The pressure is low and provides such a fine jet that it takes ages to have a good shower. It needs a bit of umph.

Rooms were a great size. Family room exceptional.

Staff are friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent, fresh ingredients freshly cooked yo order. Room was clean and warm. Location excellent for many day excursions including Bristol, Bath, Chepstow and the coast.

Staff, manager made our stay. Very lively and friendly. She happened to be serving at dinner time which was a treat. Helpful with suggestions for Slimming World friendly options at dinner time and emailed menu in advance. Lots of choice for dinner, down to earth, generous portions and good value.Bed was comfortable.Lovely to have a bath, plenty of hot water.Plenty of parking. Very convenient for Berkeley Castle and walking around the village.

Room was a little dated. No window as such, half glazed door was only natural light but that is probably because of the limitations of the building.Bathroom needed a deep clean.
