    Pros +

    • Like the elegant style, peacefulness, and spacious rooms.
    • Good location ,great food, drinks expensive
    • The room we had was more like living accommodation. With its own garden.

    Cons -

    • Overpriced for what it is
    • Our dog wasn’t allowed in the bar area.. despite it being classed as dog friendly. So we had to leave him alone while we had our meal. Then go straight back to the accommodation. Not ideal as it was my husband’s birthday.
    • our first room - room 3 wasnt great for £179 per night as the carpet looked like it had not been hoovered well, the scatter cushions on the bed had some staining on them, the bed was an old style wooden carved frame, the headboard was dusty with cob webs on it also. after we went to the bar, we returned to the room to find lots of ladybirds ( over 20) on the inside of the windows , we spoke to the chap on reception and he moved us next door to the Dale Suite, this was a much bigger room, but there were some signs of damp on the wall by the TV and near a shelf unit near the bathroom. Again , there were several ladybirds on the inside windows here, but we didnt bother to tell reception again as felt if we moved again the same thing would happen, so we removed them oursleves. its a lovley old building and there may be limitations on upkeep because of the age of the building, but i would have been disapointed with the suite also at i think £279 with these issues. it was also super hot, we turned the thermostats down on the radiators but it was still very warm, it was a nice weekend so this again is not a fault of the hotel so much as the british weather. the hotel was set up for a wedding fayre on our day of departure and it did look very beautiful in the areas we looked at. any staff memebers we approached were all kind and curetous. the bathroom was of a good standard with extra touches like toothbrush, razor etc, the toiletries were of a good quality also. it just needs attention to detail, like high dusting, checking for snags on soft furnishings etc.

the food in the restaurant on the Saturday evening was very good. as was the breakfast on Sunday morning. public areas were kept well, the sofas in the bar area may have seen better days. the grounds were kept very well also.

The grounds were lovely. The staff were polite. Comfortable and clean. The room. The breakfast is amazing.

The WiFi signal and I thought it was a little overpriced. Especially in the restaurant/bar.

Very comfortable period hotel with a good restaurant.

Our room was above the restaurant and the noise from the restaurant disturbed us.

Everything The grange is in beautiful surroundings and just a few miles from Beverley racecourse and town. The room was Spotlessly cleanWell worth 10/10. The bathroom was stunning and the breakfasts wow. We have stayed at many hotels over the years and must say this was the best breakfasts we have ever had. This will be our go to hotel every time we attend the races from now on.

Loved the well appointed, comfortable room and that you could park outside it. Lots of attention to detail evident throughout and Billy in the bar made a fine Old Fashioned cocktail even though it wasn’t on the menu.

The coffee/hot drinks in the bar area were served in rather small cups.
