Horrible dirty room full of flys and spiders

Horrible dirty room and bathroom was shocking and also staff are rude wouldn’t stop again Also I had a family room with the kettle their was 2 little milk pots and 2 sugars 1 coffee and one tea bag Knowing that it was a family of 3 I suffer with anxiety and this room was awful to the point I didn’t wanna ask staff because they was rude

Staff friendly and helpful good food available in the pub. Comfortable clean room and bed, reasonable price!

Rooms comfortable and clean but need a refurb!

The food wasn't very good. My husband ordered a jacket potato with cheese. The potato was cold with a sparing of cheese on top. My husband asked if it could be hotter they took the potato and said they would bring a fresh one. The fresh one arrived it was warmer but hard in the middle again with a sparing of grated cheese on top. The room was dark, dingy, and depressing. The door wouldn't shout properly without real force. It's a shame because the pub itself is big and nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly but I wouldn't stay here again. I've stayed in a lot of better places for the same price.

Dripping tap in bathroom .The shower did not work properly .The food had to be sent back on several occasions as was cold .The water was cold so could not wash and it was a dirty roo.

Mold in bathroom, door wouldnt close with out slamming it shut to get in and out of room, and tryed a meal downstairs, steak sizzler, i ad to send it bk, it were raw,

Room 9 was damp and and the bed was mucky

Rooms need up dating bath rooms discussing

Not enough plug sockets only the one in room

Had a lovely sleep and had everything we needed, staff in the bar let up take an ice bucket upto the room, very hospitable. Went into cleethorpes for a few drinks and then finished in the pub downstairs which was ideal.

Furnishings and bathroom needs updating but served the purpose

Comfortable beds, nice size and clean room, enough tea and coffee, friendly staff, helpful. We enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant, it was nice and good value...

The room was clean and tidy.The tea and coffee/ kettle was good.The bed linen was fresh and clean.The TV worked well.

The bathroom.It looked as though it was 40 years overdue for renovation.Black mold on the ceiling.Skirting boards falling off.Floor tiles broken and taped up.Water stains in the bath.Very Rusty safety handle over the bath.Plug hole fittings with chrome worn off.Central heating radiator not working in the room and bathroom - additional electric heaters.Toilet cistern constantly trickling.

Needs renovation but all facilities were there and good value for one night.Security door was not working so entry from.bar to upstairs was possible without key or code- needs looking at.Bar/restaurant door was locked still at 9am so.not sure how anyone got to breakfast or if it was being served ,as we were not stopping for food.Had to be opened by staff member so we could hand key back in.

Being able too go down stairs & Buy food.

The Lock faulty on outside door ,But a phone number too ring for our of hour problems .Staff very punctual & understand for being phoned .

Clean bed. Clean towels . Rooms a little dated and worn , couldn’t turn the taps of in the bathroom , dripping all the time but we did get a room each .for the money we paid it was a fair deal .. no complaints

Furniture very poor .noisy sports bar not my cup of tea for a meal as it was big screen TVs everywhere ... better playing decent music than sport

Free parking, pleasant staff, location good, comfy bed

Shower was unusable. Disappointed that breakfast wasn't available until 09.00 as I needed to be in Grimsby by 08.00

Warm friendly welcome. Every single staff member was helpful and efficient. Room was very reasonable priced and although a little dated had everything we needed for our stay including free parking( huge bonus)Very comfy bed and huge snuggly pillows..plenty of hot water...bath and shower with safety handle very useful.Food was generous and tasty served on warmed plates and great offers each day.Everywhere was immaculately cleaned as staff made a great effort despite being extremely busy due to unexpected great weather!We haven't stayed before but will definitely return. Thanks to you all.

Cold tap in washbasin dripped a lot but we understand it's due to be sorted!

Great location, comfortable bed Great food in the restaurant/ pub all at a reasonable price You will see some very negative reviews on here for this place People need to remember what they paid for this accommodation I am not saying it’s bad in anyway and it’s not the Ritz but for less then £65 a night you get a seafront location with a clean and comfortable bed Yes the rooms are a little dated but have all the facilities you need The rooms are cleaned every day and for the price you pay it’s a great deal The food in the restaurant / pub below is good and very reasonable I have been using “ The Wellow “ regularly over the past few years while looking to buy some properties locally and have always had good stays here as I say it’s not a top hotel but you are not paying top hotel prices The staff here are always friendly and very helpful nothing is to much trouble for them So to sum up If you want basic accommodation on the seafront and close to everything at a reasonable cost with good food also at a reasonable price This is the place you should book

Wish we'd booked elsewhere!

Bathroom was filthy and had a constantly dripping tap. The room looked very dated and resembles something from the 1960s. Needless to say we stayed for 10 minutes and left never to return.
