Holiday Inn Express Braintree By IHG

We were attending a boxing tournament for 3 nights from Grimsby. It was near the venue and was easy to get to

The noise at night from teenagers running up and down the corridors banging on doors and shouting. There were told once by staff but it did not help they carried on. It was like they were in my room. I have a recording of the noise if you would like me to submit!!

Bad

Never gpt ro have breakfast, no room to eat, kids running around all night, cot for baby well... baby slept with me. Glad to be home

Everything was clean, good location staff friendly

There was kids and adults running up and down knocking on doors at all hours, we never got much sleep so missed breakfast both mornings because we was tired :( obviously this is not the hotel or staffs fault

Friendly staff, good breakfast, location

Worn out furniture. Bed was wobbly. Needs a good reservation

Good size rooms. Powerful shower. Fantastic breakfast with huge selection. Really helpful and friendly staff. Bar open very late.

TVs a bit small.

The location was great for our needs

We needed to book another night to increase our stay to 13 nights, we were quoted £54 and advised we didn’t have to do it straight away. When we came back to book it was £73!! Very disappointing we did raise it with the manager but advised she couldn’t do anything

Very comfortable and warm room. Good choice at breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff.

Dogs barking in the morning in rooms near us.

Conveniently located for visiting family

No seating available at breakfast (& staff turned a blind eye to the fact we were clearly struggling to find somewhere to sit with 2 children) so had to go elsewhere

Very good breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Well designed showers

Road noise

All ok, nothing not to like.

The hotel room was exceptionally clean, warm, large enough for a family of 4 (2 energetic) boys and already set up with all the ammenities I had requested before arrival. The staff were very warm and helpful and, the breakfast was filling.

Staff amazing, breakfast fabulous, good quality and plenty of choice

Bed and pillows could be more comfortable

Really helpful desk staff, easy check in process and comfortable room.

Can be quite pricey for an overnight stay

Easy parking. Lovely staff

Awful wifi. Cold room

The location.

The bed was so hard I did not get any sleep at all, and I could have moved rooms but had no garente that the bed would be any better, so I did not move which was not great as disabled person who needs sleep makes me feel extremely poorly.
