Pros +
- Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, not to mention friendly. They took us at the last minute and gave us a great room. They also have a lovely pub and great food. Would stay there again. Only sorry I couldn't be there for karaoke on Friday!
- Wonderful room, large spacious bed.
- It was a lovely homely hotel especially as it is Christmas. Lovely size rooms brilliant breakfast
Cons -
- Shower was a bit disappointing, it was very weak. I’m been picky.
- A difficult time for staff as they'd had an afternoon event before we arrived, but I had checked in advance about an evening meal - it was rather chaotic, we had to wait over an hour for food, one waitress was very short and unhelpful. They could have handled things better.

Quaint ,lovely location staff members exceptional helpful friendly
Too hot
Refreshing to stay in a hotel built long ago. Has character. Every room and hallway different. Exactly what we were looking for. Breakfast was wonderful.
Fantastic old property, with lots of history and a great courtyard to sit out and have a few drinks.
There was nothing I didn’t like but if I had to be picky about anything I would say the room needed a couple of usb chargers.
Not enough sleep makes a poor stay, won't be back
Room 12 was noisy from road traffic and the curtains didn't shut out the street lights
The white hotel rates a 8 but the staff make it a solid 10+ can’t fault them Thank you Carly and Amy and wonderful food ?
The hotel is pretty, with a unique feel. The room was very comfortable and everything that I would need. Fairly basic but clean and bright, kettle and tv etc.. The bed was very good. I really enjoyed my cooked breakfast and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
My wife and I had an overnight stay and dinner at the White Hart.It is a lovely old hotel/inn with bags of character.Friendly and welcoming staff. Thank you.
All good.
Excellent location.I was upgraded to a double room without any extra charges.Lovely room and staffWould come back!
Beautiful old building with lovely beams and unlevel floors. Finished to a high standard, with a comfy bed.
Every bit of our stay was excellent. I booked 2 rooms & a table for dinner for 4. Great food & service
I put everything against my table booking tab. At the end of the evening (not closing time, or last to retire to bed as there were other customers around) approx. 11pm, I was approached & asked if I’d pay my bill? Of course I’m going to pay it! I felt intimidated as there were 2 staff, quite in unison standing together waiting for me to pay my bill. Obviously I paid & retired to my room. I would have given 5/5 for staff if it hadn’t been for this, judge a book by its cover philosophy, or it’s time to finish the evening.
Staff and food were great, bed was comfortable, rooms were clean.
shower was weak and wouldn't stay up to wash myself, crooked nature of the building was unsettling until I got used to it
The white Hart Hotel was excellent. Gorgeous old coaching inn, beautifully decorated. Very historic features well preserved. Breakfast delicious lots to choose from and very hearty. Staff very professional and friendly. Very reasonably priced too.The town is great with many historic old buildings and gorgeous countryside. We loved it so much we have booked again in June.
Ok. But strong smell of paint
Shower was tiny and room had strong smell of paint. Woke with a bad yead
It's central and easy to findThe bar was fun lots of goog conversation
Nice and clean. Food was very nice. Staff made you feel welcome and helped us get bags up to room as husband was using crutches.
The age of the building and the village.
Didn't like workmen near the skylight window of the bedroom in the morning. However appreciate that they have a job to do.
