Pros +
- Breakfast greatReception staff polite and friendly.
- The hotel was spotless, room high quality bedding towels etc
- Very comfortable and spacious room
Cons -
- Room provided was next to someone playing loud music. We reported it to reception. We tried to knock on door to ask for it to be turned down without success. Reception staff couldn't make the person open the door. Apparently the person was a long staying guest. Eventually we were moved to a quieter room. Also restaurant evening meal was poor. Very small portions. The restaurant was empty so no atmosphere. We eat at the Rose and Crown the second night which was superb in comparison. The rooms were boiling hot 25 degrees and didn't seem to adjust even when we attempted to turn it down also maintenance person couldn't turn it down.
- Nothing really, room could have been warmed up for arrival. As a cold day.
- Evening meal was a little disappointing, mainly the pastry for the pies (both main course and dessert)

Hotel itself is fine Rooms clean with everything you need. Staff friendly.
Wasnt pre advised that hotel is cashless. Also couldn't see advice of this on website. A free for all at breakfast resulting in queues. Due to insufficient seating for hotel occupancy. Would benefit from area being pre set and guests shown to seats. This would also stop two people taking up a larger table meant for 4. Alternatively overflow area set ready to accommodate guests if required. Poor staff member manning reception and restaurant for breakfast resulting in no one being available at reception. No manager available when requested.
Lovely grounds
Beds were uncomfortable food honestly the worst I’ve ever tasted waited 30 mins for a drink at the bar all round terrible experience could hear every noise in rooms next door people arguing all night
Location, convenience and room
Lovely hotel, pretty grounds as you are driving in. Lots of parking available. Check in was easy and the staff were pleasant and always available if needed. There is a restaurant on site, though we didn’t use it.
Nothing to report here.
Room was very clean, quiet and in exceptional condition, staff very helpful and friendly. Bar area clean and seating very comfortable, cocktails superb. Restaurant, midweek, good menu well cooked, breakfast had everything that you would expect. Highly recommend the Donnington Manor.
Pleasant overnight saty en route to France - would use again
Internal construction work, whilst well managed, nevertheless impacted on the stay,
The receptionist when we arrived was very helpful. The room was adequate and clean.
We did not like the new TV system We didn't like stirrers for the hot drinks - a spoon would have been nicer Difficult to use the heating system but managed
Staff and comfy bed, clean room
Nice place to stay. Friendly staff.
Breakfast was small for the price, we just went to the nearest pub, better value for the money.
Very helpful, kind staff, free parking for guests, very comfortable beds. We arrived quite late and we were able to access our room from reception easily. Room was easy to warm up with temperature controls, kettle, tea, coffee available in room with milk and sugar if needed. Iron, hairdresser and several towels all provided. My friend used the shower and loved the power! Staff were really helpful in accommodating my last minute request for stay and to have a quiet room.
Nothing! N/A - Everything was great, easy to find, near the location we needed to be and well lit when finding place even in darker hours. Quiet room, great for sleep and cosy, comfortable beds. Everything you need for a good night sleep and for enjoyable stay. Perfect for our particular trip, thanks!
Room was good with a nice bathroom and walk in shower. Nice and quiet area. Nice reception area
Bedroom staff all fine. New Year Meal with Disco total utter rubbish.
The meal came to 2 people and they had finished their meal before the other 2. The mushroom risotto was disgusting and un-edable.
