    Pros +

    • SUPERB ROOM.The owners soent a lot of time on the decor. Huge vathroom with a wet area shower and bath.
    • Lovely, quaint hotel with beautiful decor. Bed was really comfortable. Whilst the hotel didn't offer evening food, there were plenty of eating options close by. The wine selection at the hotel was varied with a price to suit all pockets.
    • Lovely historic inn in the center of old Beccles. Easy walk to everything including the bus stop and train station. We booked the family room. It was immaculate, comfortable, well-furnished, and spacious. Staff were friendly and attentive to our personal needs. Excellent food and drinks in the ground floor pub. Highly recommend!

    Cons -

    • Car parking was difficult, as there is a limited time for parking close to the hotel. There are some pay and display carparks in not too far walking distance but awkward with luggage.
    • All good.
    • Breakfast, nor evening meal was offered, although because of location restaurants were nearby

Very comfortable place to stay. far quieter than expected since bar closed at 21.00. Parking was very easy immediately in front and is legal and free from 17.30 to 09.30 - a real bonus.

    All good.

Beautiful room, very tastefully designed and furnished. Gordon made us very welcome. Very quiet at night, surprisingly so!

    There was nothing to dislike!

The room was very nice, totally decorated and clean

There was absolutely no parking no food served in the evening no hot drinks after 3 pm and they closed at 8 pm which is quite poor for a restaurant

    Nothing!

Location, ease of checking in,information in folder in room, everything was lovely

Not a complaint just there was an ironing board in wardrobe but no iron, maybe if you ask they give you one but we didn't need one so didn't bother, just an observation

Great central location. Very nice, spacious room with lovely decor and seating area. Nice pub downstairs.

Pub closed at 8.30pm!! Landlord said they don't do breakfast, but that there was something in the room. Turned out to be chocolate biscuits and tea coffee. Hard foam pillows - one too low, two too high.

I’ve stayed here four times now. The rooms are lovely.

The heating was on its lowest setting in my room and it was absolutely freezing. I turned up the radiator and it took two hours to get hot (like it needed bleeding) so I spent the whole night sitting in my coat - and because there are no staff on site overnight, there was no one to speak to about it.

Beautiful, cosy guest house in the center of quaint Beccles. Staff were all super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was lovely, well appointed and had everything we needed. Cosy bar downstairs had a large fireplace and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.

TV reception wasn’t great in our room but not a concern, we weren’t there to watch TV in the room!

Very classic english pub in the country Very simple in the Bar and restaurant. Have to say the Duck I had in the evening was awesome.

The carpet up to the rooms was very tired. which was not a good first impression and then walking into the room was no different. very tired in the rooms in need of a refurb if going to charge what they did. Have stayed away all week at venues all of this price and the rooms were by far the worst, very run down. Shower was also tiny and difficult to move around in.

Room was clean and bed comfortable. Beccles is a nice little town with lots of eateries. In the absence of breakfast I was recommended a cafe called Posh Pigs which is a short drive out of town. Excellent breakfast.

Small room. Up in the attic so cramped with very low beams and, being a big man, I kept banging my head or back or shoulder. The bathroom was small and a wet room which meant the whole floor got wet so you could not dry your feet and if you sat on the toilet you were still in a puddle. It was also up two flights of stairs. Room was OK for hobbits who don't mind stairs. No food available in the evening and when I asked about breakfast I was told it was continental, but this appeared to consist of two instant porridge pots.
