The Hoops Inn & Country Hotel

The room was very clean. All facilities were in good working order and clean. The staff were excellent throughout. The food choice and quality was excellent including value for money.

Nice history and convenient to get to and park. If from overseas, make sure to bring a electrical converter to handle any voltage or plug style requirements.

Dog-friendly historic inn - the perfect place for a stopover on the way to/from Cornwall, or for a longer stay as a base to explore the area. Ample parking; a choice of exercise areas for your dog (landscaped garden, or runaround field); fabulous food (breakfast and dinner); fascinating architecture.

In keeping old fashioned room with an amazing modern bathroom. The whirlpool bath was the highlight

Good food, courteous staff, good sized room and reasonable cost.

Just a little bit of peace with relaxed feel and no pressure to rush or do more than enjoy the food in a lovely location. So dog friendly and they mean it. Everyone was just so helpful. Room was perfect size and the bed really comfortable. My dog was so at home.

Window panes were blown so spoilt the view a little.

Absolutely nothing to complain about.

Traditional pub with lovely atmosphere, great food (evening meal and breakfast) and friendly, welcoming staff. Beautiful gardens, great for walkers and dogs. Rooms were big and grand. We were in room 4. Lovely sofa to sit and watch tv, have drink/coffee etc (although a small coffee table would be helpful - plenty of room for one).

A little out of the way and on a main road. (We were in a front facing room and road noise was minimal.) Personally it didn’t affect our stay but it might be a consideration for some.

Lovely breakfast, with very good service. Evening meal exceptional. A very relaxing stay. A bonus 11a.m checkout.

Location was good very quiet.The first room we was put in had a continuous noise throughout the day and night a motor running so didn’t get much sleep. But after having a word with the owner he moved us to a better and quieter room.

Excellent place, beautiful country inn in suburb setting

The bed and pillows were not in keeping with everything else here, very uncomfortable!

The best Inn I have stayed in. Lovely friendly staff. The Inn itself is very quaint and cozy. Breakfast and evening meals simply lovely and delicious! Would definitely book again :)

Staff were friendly and very helpful. The bedroom was comfortable and very clean. Delightful garden with tables. Dog friendly with access to grounds for exercise. Excellent value for money.Extensive breakfast and dinner menues. Will certainly return as central touring country and coast.

Only one disappointment shower was over bath. There are limited en suites with walk in shower so be sure to check if booking.
