Thornbury Holiday Park

Clean and beautiful site well kept peaceful

Our family of 14 stayed at Thornbury over the weekend and we had a great time. We stayed across the Lodge, Bungalow and Caravan. All were clean and had everything we needed. We played games on the green outside and enjoyed walks around the lakes. Seeing the animals around the farm was a lovely bonus and the children loved the goats. The small park was lovely for the younger children and the older ones enjoyed the slide as well.The owners were great and very friendly.

There is no bar currently but this didn't impact our stay.

Maple! Was the name of our caravan. It want very new but very well maintained and perfect for us. We loved our caravan.

Small and peaceful site with lovely walk around well kept grounds and lakes. Great location for exploring North Cornwall and Devon coast. Loved that chickens were roaming around and kids enjoyed seeing goats. Dog friendly with enclosed garden area around bungalow. Hosts were welcoming and on hand if you need anything. Will definitely be visiting again

Holiday lets were close to each other so not as private as we would have liked but that's our preference rather than it being an issue.

Hazel Cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed. Coffee machine, pods & chocolates was a nice touch. One of the Sofa's was a little uncomfortable and I did have to move a feather filled cushion as husband allergic to feathers. The quite and fishing lake were great.

Kitchen Hob was a bit dated and found difficult to use but only because we aren't used to that type of hob.

A really lovely and peaceful place to stay and would highly recommend. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Accommodation was very clean and well equipped. We had everything we needed for the weekend. Lovely to see all of the animals and then fishing was great and was enjoyed by all the family. Really nice to be able to bring our dog with us aswell.

Beautiful quiet grounds with free range animals.Well equipped accommodation. Home from home. Warm. Good shower.Fishing ponds. And 25 minute drive to a great beach for a bit of body boarding.

Wasn’t really anything to dislike.Maybe a mattress topper for the double bed to be fussy.

The cottages at Thornburry park are very comfortable and well furnished. They even allowed us to take our dog. Lisa and Paul the proprietors were very helpful and friendly.and we will certainly go again. The children loved the open space and the animals.

The rain

We arrived early and were allowed to get into our holiday home which was a bonus. The setting was lovely, overlooking a lake, it was so peaceful. The cabin was lovely and spacious and very clean. Would thoroughly recommend this holiday park.

Lisa is Very helpful she helped my family who were staying due to a fire where they lived.

Property had everything we could possibly need for our weekend stay - very quiet and remote which is what we needed and only 30mins to the coast.

Very remote, quiet and peaceful, great for kids/ families as there is wild animals walking around like chickens, rabbits and geese, the property is very spacious and comes fully equipped for self catering needs. I like that there wasn’t an aerial to the TV because we sat as a family and watched a good old DVDs and eat microwave popcorn (Holsworthy Myton charity shop have a great selection of £1 DVD’s to pick from), I would definitely come again in the summer.

No walking distance shops so I would drive to the local waitrose or Coop in Holsworthy or big Morrison in Bude for milk and the other essential before going to the property if with kids, also if the weather is predicted rain the grass surrounding the accommodation is very wet and muddy so bring wellies and extra towels for drying dog

The shower was a bit temperamental and the drainage hole was a bit clogged. May have been a problem with water overflowing if there were more than the 2 of us.
