The Half Moon Inn

The room was spacious, extremely clean with a very comfortable bed. The staff were very welcoming, professional & helpful. The food was fantastic! So well cooked, hot and tasty. It was one of the best places we’ve stayed in for a long time. The attention to detail was outstanding.

I was here for one night on business.The evening food was fantastic, I had the Yarg starter and the homemade pie, highly recommend!!The beer was very well kept.The bar area was a delight to sit in, if you like old English pubs then come here.The room was immaculate and very peaceful.Breakfast set me up for the day.The owner and staff were first class.This is how all rural inns should be. I will return.

Staff extremely friendly and accommodating, stunning village. Walking down the lane at night rewards you with an unbelievably stunning nights sky.

Rooms a bit tired. Pillows and bed lumpy.

Location was perfect for us as visiting family nearby, room was great, staff excellent and breakfast fantastic.

Great overnight stay on the devon coast to coast ride, beautiful pub in a lovely village. Good food, friendly people, comfortable room.

A warm welcome with friendly staff, accommodation was clean and had all I needed. Food was excellent and the friendly atmosphere in the pub (pie competition on the night I staid) reminded me of how pubs used to be! As a solo guest I was completely at ease.

Lovely village inn, modern comfortable rooms in old stone buildings. Fairly remote village setting, very quiet. Warm welcome, good good and good service.

Great location nice and quiet. Room very comfortable and the food in the restaurant was exceptional - great portions, and flavours. I had the Pie of the day - excellent along with the Pecan Pie. Fish and Chips were excellent as well.

Hot water was on a timer, so no constant hot water. Water pressure also seemed very low

The staff were very helpful and friendly . The Breakfast was great and we had an enjoyable evening meal.

The room was a little small. The bathroom could do with a refurb and the bed was uncomfortable.

The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent!But the best thing about the Half Moon was the staff they were so helpful, kind and knowledgeable I will definitely be returning regularly

Lovely welcome, cosy bar, lovely log fire and tasty lasagne. Good night's sleep and a good breakfast the next morning. Very quaint village square setting.

Rooms were a little basic but I still slept like a log!!

We needed accommodation near to Pertersmarland for a family wedding. Being familiar with the area, the Half Moon was our first thought. Didn't disappoint.As it happened, we subsequently had a problem with our car and the manager was as helpful as could be supporting us whilst we arranged additional help.
