    • Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault them at all. Was nice to be able to choose a time for breakfast . Self service was a bonus.
    • The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
    • Wasn’t good but the hotel...

    Cons -

    • Had breakfast on first day. Was very nice but bit pricey.Went to Wetherspoons next day which was much cheaper.Price of room seemed really good value but when you add on parking costs and breakfasts it amounts to more than other local places.
    • Was locked out of the hotel as the door key didn’t work so I had to stay at a friends house sleeping on the couch.
    • It’s at the budget end of local hotels so please realise it’s on a busy roundabout. However it had secondary double glazing so not too bad. For the price it’s amazing.

Clean, comfortable and the staff were welcoming. The rooms are good. The hotel was quiet during the night

    8SarinaPosted on: 2-8-2026

The room was very spacious and my son had his own room

The double bed was uncomfortable as bit springy but didnt damoen the spirits.

We stay here every week and rooms are usually ok, location is great and female staff are lovely.

Bed too uncomfortable to be able to get any sleep. Springs digging into us, mattress so poor you could touch the base when you sat on it. Bathroom so small we could only just fit onto the toilet by walking backwards onto it....anybody larger would really struggle. Attitude of male when I have feedback then next morning was very poor..he rolled his eyes at me and gave an insincere apology.

the staff were really sound friendly and helpful .location was minutes walk from the centre.

£6 parking - maybe free for guests ??

Staff were friendly.Thought the price we paid for room only was excessive. But happy to be able to take dogs

Over priced based on room only.Extra for breakfast Extra for parking No food available apart from breakfast

The breakfast was good quality, (there was an extra cost of £9.50 each) the staff were friendly and the location was ideal for what we needed it for.

When we booked we advised the hotel that we had 2 dogs. On arrival we were allocated a room called the cozy room, it was probably the smallest room I have ever stayed in. There was literally no room at all for myself, my partner and our 2 dogs. The facilities were ok, if somewhat dated. I probably would use the hotel again if I needed a hotel in the area, but would most definitely ask for a larger room. On a positive note the staff were great and the bar area was good also.

    Good value.for money cozy room

Tv remote was a bit dodgy but other than that no.complaints

The family room was really a suite with two bedrooms, each with its own shower. A separate toilet served both bedrooms. We loved the family room, spacious and comfortable.

Breakfast was only so-so, with drip coffee that was not so good. But the spacious and comfortable family room, the character of the property, and the friendly staff made up for the average breakfast.

    Staff, breakfast, location

Awful mattress, single glazing window meant loud street noise, it was as if the window was open all night, cramped bathroom, not much room to sit on the toilet

Great central location with car parking, lovely staff, very reasonable

    1AliPosted on: 1-6-2026

    Nothing !

Smelt musty, room was cold 2*c outside and arrived to no heating on & window wide open, even after 3 hours it hadn’t warmed up enough and I slept fully clothed. The staff member I spoke to was polite but not helpful. I can highly recommend Premier inn just up the road - won’t be returning here !

Near the railway station, central to the town, friendly staff.

    Abit shabby, creaky floorboards, etc.

Room was small. Paying for parking

Nothing was really bad - having visited several times before we knew what to expect. The staff are great!

The decor of the room was distinctively run down - bits of plaster off the walls - curtains not joining - cold shower/toliet (no heat in the towel rail!

    8ShonaghPosted on: 12-24-2025

It was really dog friendly. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and made you feel really welcome. It was great.

The room was really clean but the paint was peeling in places in the room.
