Beautiful building and grounds and a short stroll to Sidmouth town/ sea front.

Good friendly service, good dinner and breakfast, electric charge facilities, only a short walk to town centre. Comfortable well provisioned room. Good parking.

Atmosphere at dinner is lacking, could do with some background music

Excellent location, stunning grounds and direct access to a nice park with a stream. Friendly staff, very nice room and one of the best quality and tastiest breakfasts had for a while.

dog friendly , beautiful house in great peaceful location

A faultless stay again and the ground floor room with a garden balcony was superb. The service from the staff and the extensive breakfast were faultless and we look forward to our next stay at Hunters Moon in this lovely part of Sidmouth and within easy reach of the seafront/town

Very comfy bed , great room with garden view . Breakfast was excellent for choice , quality and service and the same for the evening meals . All staff were attentive with a upbeat manner and a smile

Nothing to dislike

Set in lovely grounds, the hotel is a pleasant 10 minute walk to the town centre. It has a quiet location and the facilities are very good. The generous breakfast offered plenty of choice.The evening meal choice I had was excellent.

While it was my choice as a single traveller to opt for a single room, I found the bed too small. Shan't do that again.

The room, the lounge, the gardens all were very good.

Staff were exceptional, the rooms were clean, beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.

There was no lift but it did not bother us

The room was perfectly clean and the staff was truly welcoming and kind. There is a beautiful park right near the hotel, perfectly quiet and good for walks. When you come with a pet they try to give you a room on the ground floor with direct access outside - no need to go through the reception.

The food is excellent with exceptional menu and generous portions. The area is beautiful near a river and lovely flat walks. The town is a 5 minute walk away.

Food was beautifully cooked and presented with very prompt and friendly service.

The rooms were immaculate. Breakfast plentiful and the cooked food was hot. Staff are very friendly. The location is ideal and free parking on site a huge bonus. Thank you. We will be back ?

Well located for Sidmouth, really friendly staff, great breakfast and very clean and comfortable.

The quality of the food was excellent served by very efficient and polite staff. The Menu choice was good and well presented.

Nothing really but a lift to the upper floor would have been appreciated

The grounds of the hotel were delightful and access into the public area of the “byes” was a bonus and made walking into Sidmouth town centre easyThe lounge areas of the hotel were comfortable and inviting.The general standard of upkeep of the hotel was excellent.We found the staff friendly and very responsive to any requests eager to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

We were made very welcome in this lovely hotel. The room was well equipped (lovely comfy beds), bright, clean and very peaceful. The ambiance was perfect - we enjoyed a top notch (properly made) G&T in the lounge in the evening. Breakfast was delicious- little touches like an extra pot of hot water to top up the tea and hot milk with the coffee showed attention to detail often lacking in other establishments. Highly recommended

We loved our room with its little balcony overlooking the gardens and the outdoor spaces which would be great in the summer. Backing onto the Byes with its ancient trees this was a short cut leading down to the Main Street and ultimately the esplanade which was a perfect distance for two ancient guests to walk. Many of the guest guests had been returning for years. It is perfect for older people but not for the young. The staff were delightful. Breakfasts were very good.

The menus changed each night and were imaginative, varied and beautifully presented but accompanied by huge dishes of overcooked vegetables which we found quite off putting though we did notice that some guests devoured them!
