A shower would be good

Lovely room with nice bed and great rural views. Good beer and good basic pub food, quiet rural location

On hottest day of the year so far, room was very hot, but did cool down later. The poor manager was running the pub pretty much on his own as he was let down by staff, but he managed OK

Many thanks to host / manager Chris, he was so organised in arranging my special requests for my husbands birthday, he really made our stay so special and we had a wonderful time, the room upgrade was such a treat! Everything was clean and fresh and dinner at the pub was delish! The free continental breakfast had everything and more you could wish for. This was our 2nd visit here and we’ll def be back! The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and clean. The room was on the ground floor so easy to access.A lovely view onto countryside

The ashtrays outside had not been emptied for a while.

I booked as a stop gap because of a problem with my gas, the price was really good so I had fairly low expectations and they were exceeded in every sense. Lovely room, great bath with powerful shower, very clean and tidy. Decor might be a little dated but it's not tired or grubby. I'll happily book again. Close enough to Petersfield to pop in or take a taxi, but lovely rural location with some footpaths nearby.

A very warm welcome was provided on arrival with an upgrade automatically offered. The room was spacious and comfortable with good facilities. The self service continental breakfast offered a reasonable selection..

This is a modest local pub. Food options were fine but not of any great quality.

Due to the temperature suddenly becoming warm, the bathroom didn’t need to have the radiator on but I’m sure very appreciated in the winter months.

The breakfast was very good and the location was convenient for our purpose.

In one of the rooms we couldn't get hot water from the shower.

It served its purpose. Bed was comfortable - nice sheets. Basic breakfast but all there.

I couldn’t make the coffee machine in my room work - I couldn’t work it out!

Would have preferred staff to serve breakfast, rather than self service but it was still good value for money!

Very convenient for where our event was rooms are lovely great parking and added bonus to have the pub downstairs

Nothing all good

Very comfortable beds. We stayed for 6 nights over Christmas with our dog. Wet room was good. We ate dinner once on site and it was lovely. Liked the no fuzz breakfast option with gluten free bread and cereals. Really good value for money. Very friendly and helpful staff. Ample parking.

Very friendly, clean and warm. Lovely evening meal in the cosy country pub adjoining.

Clean well presented room with friendly staff. The bar was comfortable and the food was very good. I had a very comfortable nights sleep with a comfortable bed.

The Breakfast was not the best with a limited choice but this was made clear before I arrived and explained when I arrived.

Breakfast was ok

We were put in a room in the eves up 2 flights of stairs with very little headroom and too hot. There was only a bath with no shower attachment so unable to shower and wash hair. There didn't seem to be any other people there so why put us up the top. We are both in our late 70s so find stairs difficult.

The hotel was quiet when I visited, so the owner kindly upgraded my stay to be in the Oakham room and it was absolutely gorgeous. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, the bath was inviting, the shower was powerful and the coffee machine was amazing! Breakfast was lovely – a help yourself buffet which had everything I needed.

It was such an old pub with history. Rooms very clean and fresh. Food was amazing. Chris was very friendly and could not do enough. Will definitely return

Spotless and spacious room with very comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. The chef went out of his way to provide my coeliac wife with a gluten free dinner.
