    Pros +

    • Nothing like what is advertised Apparently changed hands in July The food was absolutely disgusting Should not be allowed to still use photos from the previous owners Bedroom’s were ok and clean but the rest of the pub desperately needs a refurbishment
    • Great location for nearby wedding venue St Giles House with good parking. The room (Blandford Forum) was spacious and clean. The bedding was great quality and very comfortable mattress. Staff were really welcoming and helpfulBreakfast was great and overall a lovely place to stay There is absolutely no phone reception anywhere in the village or surrounding areas including St Giles House however the WiFi at the Fleur de Lys was great.
    • Lovely pub, super convenient, friendly staff, great breakfast!

    Cons -

    • Wasn’t very clean
    • Didn’t affect myself but I saw an older guest struggling with the steep stairs to the accommodation upstairs, access may be difficult for some.
    • Bedrooms were great and comfy, but could do with a better dust and deep clean.

The bed was very comfortable. There was high water pressure in the bathroom shower. The staff of the pub under the inn were very friendly. Late at night, the area was very quiet. From the room I stayed, I could see the moon.

Till about 11pm, there was a lot of commotion which could be heard very well from my room.

such a lovely pub, the food was amazing, rooms super comfortable and good value for money. chanting village with great walks near by. You MUST dine here if you stay we will definitely be back.

    nothing, everything was perfect.

Staff were friendly. Food was good. Parking on site.

Noisy till 1am each night. Room not cleaned, we left at 10 in the morning and returned at 9pm to find room had not been cleaned or bed made. Shower hose all rusty.

The hotel was a great location as we where at a wedding in a venue opposite so it was great.

Our room was very small and so noisy I had a kitchen fan below our room it was very noisy. The roof to the entrance was leaking.

    9ElizabethPosted on: 1-1-2023

lovely cosy room, clean and quirky.

it was rather noisy in the evening, as we were very close to the bar. the staff locking up seemed rather loud in particular.

    Nothing really!

Lovely room with good size en suite bathroom. Comfy bed and tea and coffee making facilities.

It was next to the road, but this is a very quiet village, so it wasn't a problem.

    5GinaPosted on: 9-4-2022

    Friendly staff

The room itself wasn't the best, lots of snnagging issues and things broken and the inside of the wardrobe stained out clothes yellow.

    6AmandaPosted on: 9-3-2022

Great size room the staff went above and beyond to find and book us a place to eat as they had finished serving food at 5pm on Sunday this was greatly appreciated.the bed was amazing

Noise from the bar. no light switch for the bathroom so my dog kept turning the light on when he went in as it was very hot in the room he wanted to sleep on the bathroom floor.maybe a fan for the room may have been nice

    9RyanPosted on: 8-28-2022

Staff were friendly showed us to our room on arrival and explained the breakfast. Left to our own devices after that. Breakfast was superb wonderful bacon sandwich on what seems to be homemade fresh bread.

The supplied fan was a little on the dusty side (when turned on blew clumps of dust everywhere) no hand soap in the bathroom, otherwise no other complaints.

    8ElizabethPosted on: 8-7-2022

The breakfast was multiple choice. Loved the truffle oil scrambled eggs.

The only fault was the bathroom light. We thought it was on a censor but it just kept intermittently switching on and off. I woke up in the night and even with the door pulled a bit closed it was on.
