Excellent location. very close to the Pier and the beach. Clean rooms.

Has an indoor pool and breakfast included.Great location close to town and bus route.

Need to hire hairdryers and pay extra for hot tub use.

Excellent location and fantastic staff — truly an asset to the hotel. The room had a nostalgic charm that reminded me of my Nan and Granddad’s spare room growing up — not modern, but warm, homely, and full of that classic 90s hotel character. It was cleaned daily, which I really appreciated.The pool and jacuzzi were great bonuses and added to the overall experience.The hotel is truly unique, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I’d happily recommend it — and would stay again.

The only minor downsides were a bit of noise from guests passing by and what I assume were the boilers, as well as the lack of Wi-Fi in the room (which, combined with Sandown’s poor phone signal, meant no WhatsApp).

Small double we had, was more a single,bathroom was like a broom cupboard and very tired looking.

Property is situated very close to shops and the beach, restaurants. Staff was really friendly, accommodating, and well organized.

I wasn’t too happy about the cleanliness of the room, the sheets were stained and mattress was quite bad. The bathroom shower was not used as it didn’t looks very clean.The bed wasn’t very comfortable and something that really bugged me was that there were no block out curtains (due to my job having to sleep when it’s light out that’s important, this is why I didn’t extend my stay)The lift also wasn’t always available and I’m disabled so made it a bit hard.

If anything the mattress on the double bed was very saggy & dipped in the middle

great location and room had a nice sea view. The included breakfast was served quickly although quite a basic presentation of traditional fry up and available in a vegetarian option.

Location is perfect. Close to Sandown beach and bus station if you want to go to other parts on Isle of Wight. Breakfast included. Also close to Wildheart Animal Sanctuary. Room is comfy. Can hear the waves at night.

Bedside cabinets are old and the paint is peeling off so as the wall. Shower head and tiles in bathroom can be cleaner. No security chain in the room so basically anyone with a key can open the door from outside which is quite unsafe. You can fill you belly with the breakfast but don't expect more. Milk and butter were placed on table too early that butter was melting and runny and milk not even cold. Swimming pool only open from 8am-6.30pm and should open till at least 8pm. Lift is old with a gate.

Pool and location are the only positives.

Firstly, the WiFi wasn’t available at the rooms. When I’ve asked lady at the reception she said with a smile that they don’t have to mention this on booking.com. Secondly the bathroom was shocking. Bed uncomfortable and the cleanliness wasn’t great. There wasn’t any spoon available in room to strip your coffee or tea. In the bathroom no proper hooks and space for the towels to be hang on. TV very small. Paying just under £230 for two nights I would expect much more than that. Ridiculous!!

Location

TV was broken. Reported upon arrival. It was never fixed. When I told them again on the evening of the second day they said they couldn't get it fixed and offered to change our room which would have been very disruptive. I shouldn't have had to chase it up. We were paying £116 per night and should expect to have a TV for the weekend. The manager could have offered a part refund or some other gesture, but nothing was offered.

The bed was uncomfortable, small room , and the smell of the bins directly under the window was quite off putting and the noise at 5 in the morning as people putting stuff in the bins woke us up both mornings we were there ! The whole place is clean but extremely detached from present day …. Lives in the 80s !

The excellent seaside view is worth the extra. The indoor pool was lovely.

No air-conditioning so on a hotter day you might want to use a fan, but my august stay was fine. Tall Victorian ceilings help.

All the staff were friendly and helpful.the location was perfect.The hotel was clean and had a nice atmosphere. Breakfast was very good and a great choice.

Everthing was amazing so can't complain about anything.
