Luccombe Manor Country House Hotel

Location was great.

The town of Shanklin is in very bad shape. The hotel food was average at best. There were no modern amenities, such as cell phone chargers.

Dated, dirty, room had bugs, rubbish piled up could be seen from my window outside back of hotel. Did not stay left same day. Overpriced for what it is

Lovely location, hotel was lovely, great breakfast and meals in the luccombe Hall were excellent.

Close door at 10.30, guest who forgot keys woke us up shouting and banging door

A perfect family mini break. We loved the views at breakfast, breakfast itself was faultless, comfortable beds and so great to stay in a 'family' room that actually has enough beds for every person and not a sofa bed! Grounds were so pretty and loved the facilities next door for my 5 & 3 year old. Can't wait to return.

It was a shame the outdoor pool wasnt open during our stay.

It's a splendid location and the adjacent Rylstone Gardens were perfect for exercising our collie. The interior was clean & well maintained and our room was spacious with a comfortable bed and small but adequate ensuite.The food was excellent! We enjoyed cooked breakfasts in the sunny dining room with superb views out to sea. It was complemented by a varied buffet which included delicious fruit salad and various tasty croissants. We also had two lovely dinners in Luccombe Hall, the neighbouring sister hotel.The staff were amazing. We received a warm, enthusiastic welcome and everyone did their utmost to make our stay a happy memory. Our collie was treated considerately & affectionately. We admire and praise the quiet efficiency and friendliness of the whole team.

A lift would help less mobile guests.

Small room for a family of 3. Outdoor pool not open early spring. Indoor pool at next door property.

A return visit - love coming here with our dog

A bit more choice at breakfast for vegetarians would be welcome.

Family room with sea view. Excellent breakfast. Hotel facilities were great including use of neighbouring hotel pool. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free entry to Shanklin Chine and discounts on bus travel.

Think waitress was new and had few teething problems

Very clean and comfortable and in a good location. We were given tickets to Shanklin Chine so we could cut through to the beach. The breakfast was excellent. The service was excellent

I guess if we had stayed longer we might have wanted to have used the jacuzzi or pool. It seemed locked in the sister site. I guess still early in the season. Maybe a small bottle of water in the room. I ordered a couple of large bottles and it was brought up immediately.

Very quiet location, beautiful grounds. Limited dinner menu but excellent breakfast choices. Staff very friendly. Would revisit.

Breakfast excellent location superb

We were in room 11 and the noise of people walking around from room above was bad.

Lovely room with views over the sea. Very comfortable bed, clean and smart bathroom. Excellent breakfast in sun room with sea views. Short 5 minute walk to Shanklin old town via footpath. Nice touch was complimentary visitor card to Shanklin Chine.

Lovely last minute stay, staff were great when we wanted some dinner in the evening so we had a take away delivered and they took it to our table in the bar for us. Very dog friendly, which was the best part, even gave our little dog a sausage for breakfast. The only complaint from me was the blinds let light in around the edges and there was no curtains to pull over to block it out - we would stay again
