This fine Scottish Baronial Hall has a magnificent paneled entrance hall with an elegant staircase and offers guests a spacious lounge with an open fire, overlooking the gardens and river. The Friars Carse benefits from a elevator to all floors. The rooms offer a TV, telephone, and tea/coffee making facilities along with hairdryers. WiFi is available through out the hotel. The property’s Whistle Restaurant serves meals made using locally sourced and seasonal produce. Friars Carse also features a comfortable bar and snooker room. The country house offers private trout and salmon fishing on nearly 2 miles of the River Nith, with tackle storage, a drying room, and freezing facilities available. Further outdoor activities within the area include cycling trails, shooting, and a variety of golf courses. Robert Burns Hermitage is located on the grounds of the hotel.
