    Pros +

    • Breakfast was outstanding. Room excellent, flat pillows were great, rare to have that.Signs for which floors could be better.
    • The staff were helpful and friendly however the hotel was chaotic sometimes in their approach and clearly disorganised. This is not the fault of individual staff more a systemic process issue. The view from our room was lovely.
    • It’s in such a beautiful location very scenic a beautiful Scottish destination

    Cons -

    • LaVista restaurant average, disappointing. Breakfast French toast disposing. Fitted sheets would be better.
    • The room we were allocated was run down. I opted for a room with a balcony however it was in the ‘new’ extension which unfortunately is soulless and very reminiscent of a bit like a work venue sadly. The room, albeit in a new wing, was shabby. Paint in our room was peeling off the walls in places and lamps and toilet roll holders were grubby and hadn’t been polished or cleaned for a while! We have stayed in this hotel twice before and those stays were wonderful however it has definitely gone downhill over the past couple of years and we won’t visit again, nor would I recommend to friends or family (whereas previously we would have done). Such a disappointment as we booked as a treat for New Years celebrations! On the last morning there were lengthy queues to access breakfast, even though there were many empty tables still uncleared and were advised to go the The Tavern instead for breakfast. We were met by another hotel guest who advised not to stay as there were no staff, not much food left and no crockery or cutlery! We didn’t have breakfast and left to go the nearest Starbucks for a better service. Such a shame that the magic of this hotel has been lost, very disappointed.
    • The room was comfortable and nicely designed ,but in that type of hotel youwould expect, a bigger bed and a larger bathroom with a separate shower. It was also far too busy at breakfast time, with a really long wait in a queue. I think more staff at the event bar would have been a good idea too.

The property is beautiful and the hotel has everything on site. We enjoyed using the gym. It was large with lots of equipment. The pool is also nice. The breakfast was great.

Cameron House is a nice hotel. We enjoyed our time here but there were a few things that happened that we found to be disruptive to our experience. Firstly, the hotel seemed to be generally short-staffed. There were many times that we called either the front desk or housekeeping and could not get through. There was always a line for help in the lobby. The concierges were never at their desks. This meant that all of the experiences advertised on the website were inaccessible without someone to help facilitate. The food options at the hotel were just ok. Breakfast was the highlight but the other meals left a lot to be desired. The best restaurant was at the Marina but they were often very overwhelmed by the volume of guests. This left us hungry and frustrated some nights. There was also a lot of inconsistency in the service. We would ask for something to be done and then it wasn't and there was not a lot of communication to us about what they could or could not do. Standouts of excellence on the staff were Jenna and Laura who both went above and beyond for the guests. The spa was also a highlight. Not sure if we will be back but it was a 3-4 star experience for us.

Wanted to show my parents a great time in Loch Lomond, Scotland, and I'm so glad I found Cameron House. The service was excellent, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. The facilities at the resort were amazing, and the bar and the restaurants offered great options. We had a great time walking around on the property by the lake. I couldn't ask for anything better. This was a perfect getaway while we were in Scotland.

What a gorgeous property on Loch Lomond! Beautiful grand hotel and so many nice things to do . My husband and I celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary and they made us feel extra special! We rented bicycles and had fun exploring the environs. Enjoyed the spa with all the steam saunas, pools and hydrotherapy area. Our evening meal at LOMA was fantastic, from the food to the incredible wait staff. We’d go back in a heartbeat .

I loved the sceneries, facilities and the LOMA Michelin star chef restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they helped me to organize surprise birthday cake for my fiancé . We loved every single minute of the stay. Wonderful breakfast. Thanks

I didn’t like birthday package at all.

    Nothing Stands out

Front Desk staff unprofessionalNo sense you weren't all important or welcome. The most professional Staff were the Bellmen who had Thierry's together and Welcomed us .

    Leaving

The fact this hotel is rated anything more than a 3* hotel is ridiculous. From staff to service, rooms to public spaces, this property is shambolic. The pictures are a farce, it’s not the hotel they are. That main castle property has had two enormous wings put on either side and a bunch of butlins style cottages bolted on around the sides to make this a 280 key property without a single thought on how to service / manage it. The staff clearly have no care to learn how to behave in a 5* property and treat customers. Zero eye contact or effort to learn a face/name. Zero ambition to assist on any issues of challenge and happily Palm you off to avoid any challenging work other than the bare minimum. The food quality, on average, is a 6/10Honestly, DO NOT BORHER.

the staff were very nice and always willing to help, the afternoon tea was amazing, location breathtaking

room wasn't clean when I arrived (spider and spider nets in two locations in the supposedly cleaned room), room had no privacy in the first floor people passing by right next to my window, food options very limited and not good quality, No halal options although they had many Muslim guests which shows no consideration, also room service runs out of food, breakfast was very limited and the tea cups smelled so bad, i noticed many restaurants are not very clean

The location on the lake is beautiful. The breakfast was good. Movie theater on premises was really fun.

The room was extremely dusty and full of spiders. The front desk was hard to reach by phone, you had to call several times for someone to pick up. The food (besides breakfast) was really bad. The Tavern was mediocre, the Cameron Grill for dinner was bad, and La Vista was terrible. We actually had great food everywhere else in Scotland, but not on this property. It was also hard to book activities, as the concierge was never at the desk. They also had limited availability for activities, so unless you had booked in advance, most activities were already booked. Overall, the cost did not match the services provided. If this hotel had been half of the price, perhaps, it would not have been that bad. But for the price paid, it’s definitely not worth it, even though the location is superb.

The grounds around Cameron House are gorgeous and impeccably maintained. Flowers are beautiful. Loch Lomond is a perfect setting. The room is spacious, stylish, and comfortable. The breakfast was incredible! So many delicious things to choose from. All the staff were very professional, very friendly, and trained to be of great service.

The Cameron House is awesome! Nothing to complain about.

The facilities are lovely, and the housekeeping and restaurant staff were very helpful. The gym is well-equipped.

Most of the front desk staff and bell hops were rude, incompetent, or both.

Nice location and view of the Loch Lomond

The service is really bad as they ignored all my requests , from simple water bottle request to booking a chauffeur driver .
