Pros +
- It is convenient as it is joined onto the Golden Jubilee Hospital and my partner was having an operation. This was the third time we used it. We were given a 20% discount towards our evening meal. Breakfast is buffet and has everything you want.
- Parking was okay and breakfast next day was decent
- The swimming pool, breakfast, comfy bed and the ambience.
Cons -
- Needs a light under the unit were the kettle is as you can’t see anything.
- On Arrival, no rooms were available inspite of booking 6 days ahead and were asked to wait. After waiting for 20 minutes, when we approached the receptionist and tried telling her that even if they have 1 of the two rooms ready we can just offload our luggage and go ahead with our tea after a 3 hours drive. However, she just stopped in between and said they are working to arrange a room and asked if we can instead be patient and wait. Interrupting when some one talks is not being polite and secondly no apologies were made for not providing the rooms on time, but instead we were shut off from even asking if we can offload our luggage and leave for tea. Our check in times were 3PM, I had reminded them at 4pm about our arrival and still until 6:30 we didnt have rooms to check in. We then got to understand from housekeeping that they had not blocked our rooms and hence struggled to give us rooms.

I loved everything
We only stayed one night but found the staff to be incredibly helpful. We had dinner, lunch, and breakfast in the restaurant and were satisfied with the choice. Our room was a little chilly, but a portable heater was provided. The beds were comfortable, and the room was very clean. Gym was great but chose against the pool as we were looking to swim lengths and it was busy with families. Car parking was free and 10 minutes from our venue.
I'm scraping the barrel because overall I was really pleased but the choice on the tv in the room was a bit average and it was dated for January strangely so we couldn't view the menu
It was lovely and clean very welcoming
The tv could be upgraded to smart tvs rather than free view
Room was fantastic Looked on to river Clyde Staff were extremely helpful and very polite Food was lovley .Hotel was very clean .
Not a thing
Staff are friendly and helpful, room was a good size and it was clean. Blackout curtains and blind were excellent. Bed was comfortable.
Needs a wee upgrade in the room, some lamps had no bulbs, TV remote didn't work properly. Knock on the door at 9am following morning to see if "we'd left yet" when check out is 11am. Bathroom has soap and nothing else so make sure you take your own shampoo/conditioner etc. The car park is always super busy and space is at a premium.
Friendly staff, nice, spacious rooms. Excellent value for the quality of the hotel
Great caring, helpful and pleasant staff.
Quality of food and choice for vegetarians. After our previous experience of refusal of a requestv for an omelette for my husband I emailed such a tequest in advance this time but received no reply. I took this as refusal and ordered from menu which didn’t work for my husband.
Room size and view great. Cleanliness 5 stars as always.
I have stayed a few times before and always like it. This time I was on floor 2...I absolutely disliked the room decor and sadly we were in a room that could be connected to next door by a door. We heard every cough, conversation, phone call and did not get much sleep. The restaurant menu used to be better and the last 2 visits were rather underwhelming with luke warm food and hotel staff used to be much warmer and friendlier instead of being pretty aloof and disinterested
Meals were very good
Car parking was a bit of a hit or a miss as it was very busy, had to wait 10 mins for someone to leave thier space before I cld get parked,
Nice sized rooms and very comfortable beds. Bar restaurant good food and reasonably priced. Free parking
Very comfortable and clean hotel room. Quiet room
TV remote didn't show TV guide
Lovely staff, lovely room - clean with a view of the water. I was there for a work conference so the location was ideal for me but it's not central if that's what you are looking for. Good bus links. Lunch & dinner food was good. Didn't have time for the breakfast so unable to comment.
The spa facility was ok - could do with some love.
Convenient for the hospital. Probably wouldn’t have chosen the location otherwise but an absolutely lovely hotel and stay for what I needed!
Few dirty marks on back of the bathroom door missed
Easy to find with sat nav
We called ahead as we were going to be late checking in and wanted some parking info as never been before and the guy on reception Gordon was very blunt and unhelpful. Our room was dirty, shower full of hair and soap scum, as were the bed sheets but we arrived early hours of the morning and were too exhausted to fuss about.
Very little. The beds were reasonably comfortable
The Hotel was run like an NHS hospital. Everything the bear minimum. Reception area was in what looked like a hospital waiting area with a very basic desk. The bar closed exactly at 10:30 even although we residents were still there chatting. We were then ushered out to the”NHS waiting area”. Any half decent hotel bar would have been open to at least 11: and would likely be very flexible about hotel guests sitting chatting later. I ordered some Guinness 00 but they only had retail size cans which didn’t fill the glass. The reason they didn’t have the normal bar size cans was , I was told, because they were the only ones our certified supplier sells. Another sign of an organisation run on NHS like grounds. GO AND FIND A SUPPLIER THAT SELLS THE CORRECT ONES!!THE CAR PARK: there is a very large car park which unfortunately has no spaces left for customers. This is because it is used fully by hospital staff ( and apparently mostly admin staff, as it is much quieter at weekends when most admin staff don’t work). This is despite there being a very large car park at the adjacent hospital for hospital staff and patient to use. They were even parked all the way along the double yellow lines in the entry ways. Again, like NHS hospitals this shows more concern for the staff and less for the convenience of the customers/patients. I was also present there at a wake following a funeral and none of the attendees could parkThe whole system is held together by hotel staff trying their best in a broken system( just like the NHS) Solution. Separate the hotel from the hospital and issue permits for the car park. Or increase the size of the car park using the ample vacant space in the rest of the grounds. I will certainly not be staying at this hotel again
Room was very spacious and spotless. Had everything we needed. Shower was excellent. Was attending hospital for surgery the next day so it made things stress free being able to stay the night before.
The friendliness & cleanliness Of the hotel with spacious rooms and relaxing pool area.
Couldn't fault.
Clean and lots of parking spaces
We were put in a room with an adjoining door. The couple in the room never stopped talking in a very voice We called reception who gave us another room.
