Pros +
- Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Found the room clean, smelling clean and the bed was super comfy.
- The staff is friendly and attentive. The shower is quite comfortable with good pressure and the complimentary shower gel smells like a Scottish forest. Nice, strong hair dryer.
- We've stayed here before. It's a practical stopover, with adequate room & facilities. All practicalities efficiently dealt with, good reasonably priced food & easy ground floor access.
Cons -
- The shower tiles could've been cleaner. That is all
- While towels and sheets are clean, some of them need to be thrown out as they are permanently stained leaving a bad feeling about using them. There were no sockets close to the bed which is weird nowadays.
- Inadequate sound proofing would be a problem for guests not wanting an early start to the day. We were woken before 7 am on both days by other guests flushing the toilet, talking in the corridor etc.No vegan options on the dinner menu.

The artwork in the hallways was cool! The staff helpful and friendly.
Too far to walk with luggage as all the doors down the long hallway were fire exit only. Doors right at parking area but couldn’t use them.
The room was mostly quiet, although the door was difficult to latch. requiring it to be slammed shut.
The hotel is very dated-looking, including the dining room. Also, the shower controls were very difficult to figure out. However, the room was quiet and comfortable, and we got a good night's sleep.
Not much, just an ok stay for 1 night
Dated property, not much space in rooms, semi clean not great, shower was terrible -low water pressure and had to squish in the corner of shower to be under the water, tub was really high to step into with dingy curtain that barely kept water in. Breakfast was decent and server at breakfast great. Check in was welcoming and friendly but when returning to the hotel later that evening the person working the desk wasn’t able to answer a basic question about whether the room had A/C. Turns out no/most hotels don’t have a/c but somehow they didn’t know their own rooms don’t have any.
Great location. Unbelievably clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Great value.
The parking lot is tricky to get out of
Convenience, price, helpful & friendly staff, cleanliness
wonderful staff, excellent breakfast and restaurant had a delightful menu
nothing it was all perfect
Very friendly and helpful staff. Room and bed were comfortable and clean.
Our party had an injury that we did not anticipate prior to our trip and the hotel is not very accessible or disability friendly.
A little dated but the staff is amazing. We had dinner and breakfast and both were excellent. Bed was comfortable and room was satisfactory. Such a nice find; and we would definitely stay there again.
The value for money is excellent – a really low accommodation price for Scotland. Plenty of parking space. The room was fine and the bathroom was clean.
There was a smell of old cigarette smoke in the bathroom – maybe it’s just absorbed into the walls, hard to tell. The bed had a standard cover that was probably washed, but it looked like it had survived World War II, with stains, marks, and even some burn holes. We removed it since you don’t sleep under it anyway. The sheets underneath were perfectly clean and the bed itself was comfortable.
The location was excellent, really easy parking. The rooms were more spacious than expected and the bathroom had higher quality fittings. It was easy to book for dinner and we were really well taken care of by all the staff.
The water pressure was definitely low and affected by others having showers at the same time.
Large spacious room with super ensuite. Excellent menu's for both bar and restaurant. Staff super efficient.
Power sockets at bedside for CPAP machines
Hotel itself is pretty good
Besides hotel, this place hosts a night club with extremely loud drunken swine screaming entire night. Frankly speaking this is completely ridiculous.
Good value for money. We were attending an event in the hotel and it was convenient to stay.
The walls are quite thin and we heard a lot of noise from the corridor and adjacent rooms.
All the staff are brilliant they go out of their way to welcome you.Food was excellent and fairly priced.Looks a nice happy place to work which says it all !
We had our engagement party here and I cannot praise the place and staff enough. They went above and beyond.
The location is ideal. The various rooms allow them to cater for any occasion and the staff are the best.
Room was very accommodating and clean. Adjoining rooms are so useful.
Corridor was noisy late at night when people coming back from the bar very drunk! Signage would be good to keep noise down.
Restaurant is excellent, great choice, massive portions.Room was fine, we just found it too warm at night.
