Pros +
- It was quite cheap. The bed was comfortable and the towels were plentiful.
- Poor
- Nothing. It is a pathetic excuse for a hotel. It wasn’t even open when I arrived at 2100 hrs. With some difficulty I eventually was admitted.Had I not prepaid I would have left immediately.
Cons -
- The hotel needs and I think is getting a much needed makeover. The room was old and looked a bit careworn. e.g. the carpet, the shower and the room furniture. The tv had no aerial cable, the shower door was hanging off but did function.
- very run down and a hole under the carpet next to the bed that is a danger to anybody staying in the room as an easy sprained ankle or worse could happen!
- No kettle, tv didnt work, broken dresser, broken toilet seat, shower didnt let hot water through, then when tried to use bath, the plug didnt work.

Dirty shambles which shouldn’t be on your list. No wonder there were NO other guests - in hotel or bar! Filthy , disorganised establishment which shouldn’t be on be closed down.
A “Continental” Experience (If the Continent Is Confusion)
Booked the Lockway Hotel last minute for work — and it felt like they found out last minute too. Despite letting them know I’d be arriving late, I was rewarded with an extra charge for my punctual honesty.Breakfast was advertised as “continental,” which I now understand to mean “some bread and vibes.” If I’d wanted something cooked, I’d have had to pay extra — presumably to cover the emotional labour of turning on a toaster.I did, however, learn something valuable: if it’s OYO, don’t go.Wasn’t even going to leave a review, but after the fifth “Please tell us how we did!” email, here we are. So, here’s how you did: you inspired me to write a small novel out of mild disappointment.
Staff were friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Pizza was good.
Street was busy
Made welcome by staff. The beds were very comfortable, room clean and warm.
Difficult to find any positives
We arrived late after letting the owner know (around 10:30pm), but when we got there, the entire place was in darkness. At first, it wasn’t even clear if the place had shut down. After wandering around, we eventually found a video doorbell and managed to reach the owner, though it was difficult to hear anything over the constant road noise. When he finally appeared from a side door, he quickly pointed us toward our room, handed over a key, and disappeared without so much as a welcome or any explanation. I asked if there was a bar or anywhere to get a drink, only to be told “no.”The room itself was just about okay, but very dated. Repairs on the walls were glaringly obvious, the wardrobe had no doors and was thick with dust, and the general upkeep felt neglected. To make matters worse, our room was at the front of the property, and since the windows didn’t shut properly, we had to put up with heavy road noise all night—which made for a very poor sleep. The following morning was even more disappointing. We had paid for bed and breakfast, but there was no sign of anyone around, no breakfast, and once again, the place felt completely deserted. There were no instructions about check-out, and after wandering around we eventually discovered an empty ice cream tub by a side exit with a note asking guests to leave their keys there.Overall, the whole experience felt unwelcoming, poorly managed, and not at all worth the money—especially as breakfast was included in the price and never provided. Would not recommend.
It’s located in a good place for my journey
Door was locked stood for a while b4 someone came. Then got charged for being early I can see a charge if they were getting a room ready but he lifted key and took us straight there. I was only staying as I was attending my sisters funeral tho that made no difference
Value, breakfast included, hairdryer and iron in the room. Comfy bed. Big mirror.
Aged and tired. Windows are old, and every passing car can be heard. It was too hot and couldn't open the window because all that noise that came from the street already would be even more terrible. Exactly, this noise made it impossible to sleep at all. There was WiFi, but there was no Internet connection. There was a TV, but it didn't work. There were side lamps, but without bulbs. A bit dusty on the shelves. Poor lighting. We got the room next to the staff room, and there was a washing machine or tumble dryer working most of the night.
All I can say is don't stay here .I didn't even stay i walked out after saw my room .vehicle didn't feel safe in so called car park .evening meals is a kebab house menu. View out window was well no words for it.dont even know what was on head board of bed
The staff was kind
When we arrived even we booked through booking they said it was fully booked and they did not have a room. we showed them the booking receipt and then they prepared a room for us but we had to wait for 30 mins ish at 8.30 pm. They didnt offer us anything while waiting. The breakfast was included and it the one of the bread slide there was fungi. We told them and they changed for us
difficult to say
I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was unacceptable. The room was filthy and showed serious signs of neglect. The toilet and shower room were in horrible condition—grimy, poorly cleaned, and in desperate need of maintenance. The overall building appeared as if it were under construction, with exposed areas and a general lack of care for guest comfort or safety. There was little to no attention to cleanliness or upkeep, and the environment felt unwelcoming from the moment I arrived. For the price paid, the quality fell far below any reasonable standard.I do not recommend staying here and sincerely hope the management takes guest feedback seriously and acts on these issues.
Bad
Very noisy road outside.Very basic facilities.Doors slamming People coming and going throughout the night, loud conversations outside the door.No respect for other people staying in the building.Upgrading required.
Nothing at all the place is a scam
Whats being showing online anywhere you can book is false advertising online it is showing a nice family friendly hotel with a nice hospitality area bar and food i turned up to the property and honestly it looked abandoned the doors where locked and no sign of anybody inside witch isn't normal for a hotel and the bar/hospitality has been replaced with a pizza take away no where online when booking this does it tell you this if it did i wouldn't have booked it
Nothing - if I could give this minus stars I would!!!!!
We booked for our operatives to stay with and upon arrival they were horrified at the state of the hotel. We paid £491.13 for this booking for 3 rooms for our employees, and this was not as described. Please see evidence attached. Dirty bed sheets, sticky floors, mould, and filthy conditions. Nothing. We were asked to sleep on a mattress.
I didn't like anything! We paid for a family room with 3 beds and was given a room with a mattress on the floor telling us "take it or leave" after we drove from London to Glasgow. We had to sleep in the car
Breakfast was a shambles. Cheap food. Bathroom not fit for use. No plug in sink, bath plug to big for the sink. Couldn't use the shower, part missing to change water from bath to shower. No good when you are less mobile. Corridors dirty. Paintwork and carpets dirty. Smells of overused oils from cooking
Look above statement.
Its at a very good location. Nice and smiling people run this hotel. The owner actually waited till late night for our arrival. Thank you Paaji.
Convenient for passing through
Radiator was on full in June. Shower mixer was a pain to get correct temp and toilet was not fixed to floor and rocked as I got off.
