Everything. From the amazing friendly staff to the exceptional food and beautiful sexy rooms. We had a lot of fun. Will be coming again. And a big thanks to Joe for the funny stories x
Day shift girl was very nice
The night shift girl was not humble to customers, was behaving rudely while I was confused with sitting area
The room was beautiful and spotless.
Waitresses were forgetful. Not enough staff in the restaurant but the food was lovely
This well-run location is an absolute gem and I'd be delighted to be able to stay again sometime in the future. The rooms were well equipped and spacious, the dining and breakfast experience were exceptional and the bar was well stocked and staffed to boot! My partner and I were both pleasantly surprised by this upscale venue and felt very well looked after by the friendly and obliging staff throughout our stay. Thank you so much, this was a real treat and highlight of our holiday!
Can't name a thing!
Good bake for money
Room had damp but it was only one night so it didn’t bother me.
Lovely boutique hotel. Beautiful four poster bed and jacuzzis , restaurant and bar had loads of character, with beams.
Room was a little tired. No USB charging points. No light in mirror in bathroom . Mirror was too high and poorly lit above dressing table making it difficult to do hair and makeup.
The location is good and staff friendly
The room was in very poor condition old and dated and the them of champagne in the room was none excitant broken sudeboard table old mirror with damage and dirty bathsinks underneath for £300 per night its was well below average
Staff excellent, food amazing. The pub itself is very nice. The room was spacious, warm, and the bed was very comfortable. Jacuzzi bath was lovely
The bathroom needed a bit of TLC. Slight smell of damp, with damp marks on the shower and blind. Toilet cistern was dirty at the back.

Exceptional breakfast , presented well and all cooked to perfection.
Breakfast not served till 9.30, but worth waiting for. They did offer a packed lunch instead, if I couldn't wait till9.30.
Lovely eggs royale outside on the decking.
Champagne complimentary in the room not available as used booking.com.
Disappointed in 'cabin' room size as we had a stack of cases, movement in room challenging due to this.Expected a bit of a better room given the cost.
The biscuits provided were broken in their packets, kinda downhill from there. Glad to be heading to airporton departure.
The car park was pretty spacious, we were able to park our car and get ready to sleep in it.
As per description as we booked the hotel we informed them during working hours that we will be arriving late, however received no reply. Since we informed and the money was paid, we assumed no issue with it and proceeded to drive there, however once we arrived we found all the doors shut and no one around, no one informed via messages or otherwise about where to find a key for the late check in, so essentially just paid for sleeping inside the car, would not recommend it. Probably worth avoiding the hotel if it seems like checking in will fall after the regular work hours
Very nice staff and good food
A little bit of what we Up North call ( fur coat and no knickers!) Which basically means that there is a lot of show made about the presentation including the owners nice collection of matching cars but underneath the glossy exterior the place is pretty tired and dare I say neglected. An example of this being at the entrance to our chalet was a white sheepskin rug placed over a hole in the floor which was collapsing! The cupboard in the hallway was also neglected with animal droppings and rubbish just left in it. Windows were broken in the main pub/reception and generally my suggestion is that the place is in need of a good maintenance manager with a budget to match.
The room was small but very comfortable. The evening staff serving at the bar were superb. It was a quiet evening and they lavished attention on me. The English breakfast met my expectations. I was travelling alone and on a walking tour, The only downside was that I had to take a taxi from the closest tow. The location was good but would suit couples with a car.
Excellent dinner and breakfast. Staff were very considerate and helpful especially by offering us an earlier breakfast time. On site parking. Heritage vintage main building with lovely dining facilities.
Very small modern room seperate to main building. Breakfast usually not available until 9.30 or later. Isolated location.
Pros:The staff were absolutely lovely – really polite and helpful. The service itself was faultless. The food was delicious and the atmosphere very calm, which made the stay more enjoyable.
Cons:Some things weren’t quite as expected. The description made it sound like there was a jacuzzi included, but actually you only get access if you book a more expensive room. The jacuzzi that was there didn’t feel very well set up. The “private bathroom” wasn’t exactly private – the glass doors from the bedroom had a 30–40 cm gap at the bottom. The listing mentioned a coffee machine, but there was only a kettle you had to fill up yourself. There was also no wardrobe or storage space for clothes or luggage, just two hooks on the wall and only one chair, even though it was a double room.
