Did not live up to 4 star rating. Needed painted in corridors, no facecloths, apart from reception and restaurant the decor looked old.

Little puzzled we had a room for a disabled person. But lots of room!

Breakfast was basic but nice in a light airy area

We booked and paid in full for a Superking room, I knew we would be checking in late so paid in full to ensure that the room would be secure when we arrived. I specified it would be a late check-in in on my booking with our eta. When we arrived the were no superking rooms available, we were shown to the next best room that had a pizza box lying on the floor and dirty towels on an unmade bed. We were then shown to the only room remaining that was a very old tired room with an extremely uncomfortable bed and informed we were lucky to have a room at all. At 22:00 we felt we had no choice.The manager the next day apologised and moved us to a superking room in the afternoon. I was promised a refund, inspite of 3 follow ups this has not been issued in over 8 weeks. I asked for an explanation of how a room that was paid in full was not available at the pre-specified check in time and have not been given an answer.The conclusion I have drawn is that they must oversubsrcibe the rooms, I thought this would be covered by paying in full...apprently not. This is too high risk for me, I like to know the room i have booked will be waiting for upon on arrival.

Clean, beautiful settings all throughout, very spacious, room was quite and comfortable

Both rooms had poor heaters and they were very noisy! :(

Included breakfast was tasty. Dining staff were very friendly. I found no where that told us there was no restaurant service on a Sunday evening (until we arrived at the restaurant)

Air conditioning in our room did not work & although an extra fan was provided, there was no written explanation of the fan. The concierge di off to switch our room. but that was not a perfect solution at 2130 in the evening.

Being woken up at 8am by someone wanting to clean the room, and the ridiculous money grab that is £12 to park on site...

Great breakfast, comfortable stay, good location for visiting family in the area .

The room was very comfy and cozy, with a great bed and spare pillows if needed!

The room was a bit noisy and walls were thin - especially early the next morning, there were children running up and down the corridors @ 6am with their parents shouting behind.

Room was lovely clean staff were very helpful and friendly.

Paying to park my car in the hotel and charging me £36 I think it is outrageous. I would not stay again.

Changing rooms and showers in pool and gym in need of updating and had a bad smell

The first room we got was a basic one and the WIFI and my friends phone just didn't have any reception so we rang the receptionist after a chat with them,we were moved to a much better room with good reception and the WIFI worked fantastic. The receptionist who welcomed us ,Noor, was very lovely and welcoming and the ladies at breakfast reception were also very lovely and attentive.

I think the changing room could be a bit cleaner and it would be nice if they had like a few towel rails to hang your towel when you finish swimming but that's probably my own opinion.

Parking shd be free. Cameras everywhere. Off putting.The whole hotel needs a refurb.Much too expensive for what it isBreakfast poor. Water for tea not even boiling from machine.

It had leisure facilities.

The fact I booked the place as it said it had free parking but I was charged £12 per night which made it not very good value.

Room was nice and clean. Good location next to A12/M25 link. Friendly staff.

Spa facilities were ok but the sauna and steam rooms could do with updating and the area was a bit unclean. Parking expensive if you want to come and go. I paid £36 over the weekend! Maybe I overlooked the small print!

Staff went the extra mile to make our trip memorable. Noor gave us a lovely welcome when we arrived, it was fantastic that we could check in a bit earlier, and the drinks vouchers and message in our room were a lovely touch. Restaurant staff were friendly and welcoming and the kids table and activities were great. The room was clean and comfortable.

It is quite minor, but the changing area for the swimming pool was freezing! Also there were no baby changing facilities in the changing area, so that and the cold made coming out of the pool quite difficult.

I liked the fact that it was local tome home (less than 5 minutes drive).

The fact that I had to pay £12 for parking. It would've been cheaper to take an Uber there and back. Really felt cheated about that!Also, the steam room was out of service (again). Had 2 children 12 and 9 yet paid for all our meals.

very disappointing and had expected more from Holiday Inn

I didn't like the surprise £24 additional cost for parking. Also, none of the EV chargers worked. The swimming pool had an issue. My room card was rejected when entering on the second day. Corridor smelt of cigarettes and the room/hotel was very tired. The lager was flat from the bar.
