- There was music playing all afternoon and into the evening in the beer garden opposite, which was quite intrusive. When asked, the staff immediately turned the music off, but it would be better not to have it playing so loudly or for so long.
- It closed at 7pm on the night we were staying, which would have been an issue if we couldn't find somewhere else to eat.
- Typical of pub B$Bs in the UK the room was small as was the bathroom, yet clean and comfortable. It was definitely what we expected. The proximity to down town can't be beat and the parking behind the pub was welcome.

The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. I loved how each room was named after one of their beers, and one it was named after was waiting in the room for me.
The Old Cannon is a warm little brewery a quick walk to down town. We were welcomed by a friendly staff. Large tanks decorate the pub. We split a light, crispy and delicious fish and chips. Breakfast was well done with Blue Mountain coffee.
