Pros +
- Room was lovely and spacious. Comfortable bed . Very clean. Tea / coffee making facilities Everything we needed .
- The room as okay, a nice private room located off of the main building.
- Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds. Plenty of parking. The room was immaculate, very large and well equipped (iron etc..). The bed was comfortable, lovely bathroom with plenty of lovely plush towels. We only stayed for one night but would have happily stayed longer. Very nice bar and restaurant.A little way out of the town centre. We got a taxi, maybe there is a bus stop nearby but we didn’t enquire. We would definitely stay again and recommend .
Cons -
- Small gap around the front door which allowed cold air into the room.
- I may be old fashioned but I like being greeted by a human. When arrived, I had to log in via the check-in screen. Not a big deal, just a bit impersonal. Not the hotels fault, but the major road works directly off the drive, means’s I was diverted annoyingly further from my destination.
- The room was a little tired, but maybe as we had the dog, we weren't in the best rooms. The TV had little to no signal, though it didn't really bother us. The standard of cleaning was not the best, but overall the room was basic and comfortable.

Lovely place, set in pleasant grounds and it was great to find a dog friendly hotel. The staff were excellent and really went all out, helping with any issue. The food was good, buffet breakfast at the weekend and ordered at the table in the week. The restaurant was a reasonable price for an evening meal, but the Sunday carvery was lovely.

Friendly staff, cleaning staff finished cleaning room quickly as we arrived early. Surprisingly quiet location, nice to wake up hearing the birds.
Bathroom in need of updating.
Very friendly staff. Questions answered thoroughly and info explained clearly. Huge, comfortable room, including the bed. It was 2 singles pushed together but we were okay with that. The bath was a jacuzzi which was a pleasant surprise! Sweets, biscuits and even herbal tea available. Great heating system, easy to control. Many thanks.
The mirror light wasn't working so putting on makeup was a challenge! Would have reported it at the time but we were in a rush to go to an event so just got on with it. The car park was also a bit bumpy in places, probably due to all the rain! None of this would put us off staying again.
Location and price
Cold room, poor heating. Worst shower i ever used, hardly a dribble.Hard bed.Thin duvet for winter. Not the cleanest.
Free plentiful parking Good breakfast Friendly, helpful staff
Automated check in/out that didn't work. Black mould on bathroom ceiling.
Good location and great breakfast
We weren’t told that there was a very noisy event taking place during our stay. Also we enquired about dinning at the hotel but weren’t told that due to the event there would be a very reduced menu. So we decided not to eat at the hotel as it was noisy and limited menu
Comfy rooms, quiet setting, good breakfast and option to eat in for dinner.
Anyone with mobility problems will struggle with stairs and uneven paths. However staff were helpful and accommodating.
Bar and breakfast were nice
No TV in room .We should have asked for a hotel room not annexe out late first night TV not working noticed dayv2
Good value and the room was fine. No serious complaints.
Hotel a bit further from the centre than ideal, perhaps I should have checked more carefully, but still walkable (it's mostly flat). Though breakfast was adequate, coffee was only provided in a flask rather than freshly made, I'd hope for better.
Location was good but we missed the entrance the first time because of the road works
We were in a bungalow not the main hotel. The gap between the door and the frame let the light through and the central heating was noisy keeping us awake
Everything
The toilet flush in room 31 stuck and there was a constant leak in the toilet. Needed to prise it out to stop the leak
Lovely hotel, easy check in and greeted on arrival. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable, quiet and everything available for one night stay, kettle, toiletries, towels ect. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The hotel has Lots of rooms, good parking and well looked after, with lovely outdoor garden space to use in summer.
The staff were super friendly, the room was so comfortable and spacious. It had all the facilities we needed.
Not much
Rooms were not clean and freezing cold staff were sarcastic and unhelpful. Not what you need when it's the night before a.funeral.
Great location clean and tidy great breakfast
Patio out the main doors very uneven and broken The smell from the sugar beat factory
The location and friendly staff
Meals weren't brilliant and on the Saturday they advised that dinner wasn't available.
Easy check in, good value for the town, met our expectations.
