The Westgate

Breakfast was excellent. The rooms are small but they are single rooms in a very old building. They were spotlessly clean.

For the price, nothing. We would have liked more from but it was one night and a reasonable reflective price with a good breakfast

The atmosphere and service was very good. Staff friendly and helpful and room was warm with plenty of ventilation.

Breakfast want served until 8.30am which was a bit late for a working stay but alternatives were offered in lieu!

spent one night as taking my son to the theatre in bury st edmunds , had a fantastic night.

Central to the shopping area of the town, easy parking. The breakfast was perfect plenty of toast, also a good pint of beer in the evenings.

Great mini break, the pub is how a pub should be, a pool table, a juke box, friendly locals, and a well stocked bar. Very traditional with a nice outside seating/smoking area. good value for the price.

the room was small but adequate, beds were comfy and clean, but we had double duvet covers with single duvets... on single beds which some people might not like.

A lovely old fashioned public house. It was clean and comfortable with everything you need in your room. What sets the Black Boy apart from just another place to stay is the friendly staff and locals.

The location, breakfast and comfortable room was so good that we stayed an additional night.

Breakfast was good, location excellent. There was no detail re wifi, however I don't believe it was considered secure. Staff were informative and polite.

The window had secondary double glazing and the "track" for closure was filled up with fluff and grit therefore had not been 'hoovered" for a considerable time.

Recently stayed at The Blackboy whilst visiting a music festival, found the place and staff excellent as was the breakfast, highly recommend and will be staying again next year

The location was great only 100m from the Town centre.
