    Pros +

    • Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was lovely.
    • The location.
    • It was a beautiful room, gorgeous style and very clean. Beautiful views

    Cons -

    • The hotel was very quiet but we were given an awful room! It hadn't been hoovered, there were tea and coffee stains up the wall by the kettle and towel rail in bathroom was dusty and rusty. Tiles in shower needed a good clean too!
    • Hard bedMany stairs to room , no lift
    • Food was overpriced and quality was average. Ordered sea bass and pork belly both were over cooked. The sauce with the sea bass was over powering the fish and tasted like a mix of dolmio and bbq sauce. Ordered a cocktail fairly sure alcohol content was zero and glass size was tiny.Service was slow with little organisation. Guests frequently approaching the bar as table service was too slow. Seemed to have little awareness of the guests. They were pleasant but a smile and repetitive phrases like wonderful' is not enough.A lot of talking between staff members to try and get thing done but there seemed to be no 'zonal' style of guest service. There is also a service charge added to your bill that you will need to ask to be taken off. Never a comfortable situation for anyone. The on morning breakfast service was good but seemed overworked with only 1 table cover on the non guest side and little to do I couldn't understand why there wasn't more service support for her.

It was a beautiful room, gorgeous style and very clean. Beautiful views

It was very very noisy being next to the extractor fan on the rooftop , it was very hot too but couldn’t open the window as it was very loud and we couldn’t sleep.

    The staff were excellent.

It would have been nice to have tissues in the room and a rack for luggage.

    4GrahamPosted on: 4-28-2025

    Not a lot.

The room was just ok, we had to request a fan and hair dryer for the room as it was so hot. Tried to turn off the heated towel rail in the bathroom but it didn't have a thermostatic control on the rail. The room didn't have much ventilation as the window opened onto a small blocked in area. The room was disappointing, damp all coming through the walls just outside of the main door. We booked into the restaurant for two evening meals one was just ok even though our waiter was completely useless, we had to ask another waitress to take our order she was very good. The other evening we booked when we turned up we where told all the sunday lunches were sold out and we would have to wait 45 minutes for our order to be taken. Whats the point in making a reservation and then being told this. We left the restaurant and went somewhere else for our evening meal. The breakfast was very good apart from when you require de-caf coffee which seems to through your staff off there game, in the end i took two sachets of de-caf coffee from the room to the breakfast ares and just asked for a pot of hot water. We could not recommend the cliff hotel as you carn't seem to get the basics right . VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Staff levels were extraordinarily high, and nothing was too much trouble. The bar and restaurant in particular, but always a friendly receptionist to ask for help. We had a 1-year old and a 3-year old (a fussy eater) in our party and so we tested the waiters’ and the kitchen staffs’ patience more than normal. They really came through with flying colours. Well done them. For the price, our rooms and the common areas such as the lounge were above expectations. We were pleased with the environment and the committed and helpful vibe.

Arghh - no lift! With two separate members of our party having toddler and baby respectively, on the second floor, a lift would have been a life-saver. So much to-ing and fro-ing - naps etc. Never really thought of its effect on our party in advance, but any future booking would require all rooms on first floor - just one flight of stairs to go up. However, one of their second floor rooms was very nice and spacious, and a low camp bed provided for the toddler was no trouble.

Great value hotel.... The staff are extremely friendly and helpful... Great cocktails.... Great location.... Breakfast was excellent..... The beds are very clean and comfortable.

The rooms are in need of an update... Tired decor... Our bedroom floor had a hole in it

Staff were so lovely, excellent food in the restaurant. We enjoyed Sunday roast, dinner and cocktails on out visit, beautiful sea view and 5 mins from the beach.

    9GrahamPosted on: 4-4-2025

The hotel has a commanding spot overlooking the coast. Good twin room with plenty of space. The blond receptionist who greeted us on arrival and waved us off on departure was an excellent front of house person. We ate in the restaurant and the staff in there were also particularly friendly and attentive - with a special shout out to our brunette Michelle Keegan lookalike waitress. Great breakfast the morning of our departure.

A small point but the room had been full in the sun prior to our arrival so was rather warm until we were able to open the windows.

    Food and service was excellent

Guest should be made aware that when there is a function on at the hotel parking is on a first come basis. I had to park on Marine Parade one night as there was no room in the car park.

Toaster very slow.Voices quite loud ,more sound proofing needed.Very

Very good as usual, stayed many times in the past.

Lovely hotel. Views across the cliffs and the sea are stunning. There are facilities close by. Parking is good. Rooms are lovely. Very clean and well equipped.

No lift so can be challenging carrying cases on narrow stairs.

    6MarinaPosted on: 3-30-2025

    Pleasant

The hotel is not suitable to disabled people. Haven't had a elevator and the rooms are on the frist or second floors. They only have stairs. No milk for the coffee in the room.

    8PatPosted on: 3-25-2025

    Enjoyed our stay

Steps everywhere. They are constructing some ground floor rooms & unfortunately, that was our view from our window. Our room was not currently a noisy room.

Stayed for a funeral. Staff went above and beyond to make me and my family feel welcome and cared for. Nice hotel with stunning views. Beautiful part of the world

There was a serious staff shortage and they were struggling.
