- Bad
Cons -
- We were unable to contact the property to inform them of our check in time either by phone or message. We had to move to a different room because we were freezing cold. The room was not very clean. The toilet had excrement in it. The duvet was stained. The corridors smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. The bathroom shower was broken.
- The room had not been cleaned properly! I had to clean everything, stains on the walls, handles, shower base, (the shower curtain rail were off their slots), shelves, bathroom door, grubby marks everywhere, the carpet was badly worn and had visible large holes! The table had to be cleaned top and bottom(was really bad) light switches and the entrance door! and outside of the wardrobe. Only had one poor quality towelTo be honest I would not stay here again, glad I only endured this for 4 nights.
- I was put in room 22, the door wouldn't lock from the outside, then I was put in room 30, the shower curtain was hanging off, no air vent in shower room, hot tap didn't work, then when I turned the telly on by the plug, I could see sparks within the socket, when I told the onwer, he said don't worry it's only a loose wire, the place should be closed down, I will never use Booking. Con ever again

Only good thing was the location
Room and bed was dirty staff didnt hardly communicate and I got bitten by bed bugs would not be going back here ever again
Location.
Creaky beds and floors. Tv size of a laptop. Bathroom door catch broken. Shower head hanging down from wall mount. Lift not working.
Pleasant
Door lock was incurred srews lose ,carpet fraying, Bathroom/Toilet stunk of damp due to leak in shower ,Window & Curtains dirty ,,Window didnt lock, Bed uncomfortable wardrobe damaged
Location , short walk to seafront.
People using the FREE unlimited parking spaces to use seafront facilities, instead of parking on the seafront spaces because they were too tight to pay at machines., so if you went out in your car, you couldn't find a space when you returned for the day. VERY annoying, especially when you've just been food shopping.. unable to buy frozen food. ("NO fridge / freezer in room").. .
Bad
Rude staff, loud music, and party in property, which was not told about before booking. Place was awful, did not stay.
The location was perfect and the bathroom was massive
Unable to show no water pressure.Bed brokenHole in bathroom door
The hotel was in an excellent location . Friendly staff . Family room was very spacious . Wouldn't hesitate to return again in 2026
WiFi was poor in room
To be honest there was nothing I liked
Lots of things for the start the man that runs it is so rude didn’t say 1 word to us, Up in the bedroom it was filthy skirting board thick with dust, The walls had marks & dirt on them, the carpet had dirty stains on, The bed had dried urine stains along wjth pillows the tv didn’t work properly and had hardly any llllļlllj
It was at the quieter end of the town, although close to all amenities such as Wellington Pier, open-top buses, the land train, the beach, amusements, cafes, shops, the Pleasure Beach and the hotel itself has a public bar, live music - whatever you can expect from a seaside town, Great Yarmouth has it all! Great for families and the “little ones,” dog-friendly etc.
The walking distance from the town centre in the evening without the buses or trains running, meaning you could be approached by beggars.
Was easy to get to everything and like the fact main door is always locked and you have a fob card to get in
Had to ask twice for toilet roll as didn’t get first time. The noises we kept getting from people above at early hours of morning keeping us awake and the noise of the pipes. Was not happy with our stay this time the carpets could do with a good clean and shower wasn’t very good this time
The location
It was a family room and lots of steps to get to but no working lift, curtains hanging off, blood stain on the wall, sticky carpets, bath water ran extremely slow.
The shower was superb , nice hot water.Value for money. This room was about £40 for the night about 100 yards from beach. What is there not to like. It wouldnt win " 4 in a bed " but be mindful how much you are paying compared to others. Nice coffee etc in room.
Parking ok during the week but on events , weekends may struggle as its " Free ' parking.
Close to the beach
It was so noisy that my partner was still awake at 2.30am. We do not expect silence as we sleep with the tv on for background noise.
The location of the hotel itself is great, ample of free parking available.
The list of things we didn't like is rather long, to be honest. The family room is situated on the top floor, with no lift access, even though the lift is broken and the stairs are narrow and at a very steep angle. One of the single beds was broken, to the point that it collapsed. The double bed was actually a small double and was very uncomfortable.Window latches were brokenThe carpets were dirty around the entire hotelThe shower was just 2 temperatures, cold or scolding hot. There were no plugs for the bath or sinkThe hotel smelt like a weed factoryThe pizza gogo store is situated within the hotel under the family room, which made the room smell awful. Yes, it was only £75 a night, but the basics were really basic. We wouldn't recommend it to anyone
As below!
The bed was uncomfortable, room wasn’t clean & we were kept awake until 5am because of music/singing/shouting coming from the bar downstairs
I was delighted with the size of the bathroom, and the size of the main bedroom room was pretty decent too. The television had all the Freeview channels, even though it was such a small screen (in room 1). There was plenty of wardrobe/drawer space. The beds were comfortable. All the staff were friendly, especially the chambermaid, Lisa, who helped us out from the first moment of arrival until the last day. The location is pretty great too, right near Wellington Pier.
Reception took about 40mins to check in and go to our room. There were loads of stairs, and a broken lift. Wifi worked ok in the foyer, but not at all in my room. I could hear music from the pizza shop almost the whole day. I could hear another annoying guest on her phone for most of every day, and some of the night too. It was hot in our room, and the corridor outside, but the bathroom window was locked. The TV remote didn't allow subtitles (which my hard-of-hearing Dad needed).
No breakfast was provided so I usually head out to a nearby cafe. Other than that, I was happy with everything else.
The way I was treated with doubt over my 4-week booking, by being told I’d only paid for 1 night, but I then started to challenge this by providing all my documentation that I was not going to be challenged like that by anyone as I suffer from stress and anxiety and mental health issues. I have paid £1,040 from 27 July to 26 August and after this interaction that needn’t have been necessary, I will be booking somewhere else next year. No fan in room, which was a nightmare as it was hot weather.
