    Pros +

    • Brilliant location , very clean and the staff were very nice
    • Great location. Within walking distance of the train station and bus stops, as well as from the local shops and pubs. If you are not concerned with facilities and only looking for a very basic and simplistic place to stay that has a good location, then this is the place for you. but if you are wanting a little more bang for buck, then I would not recommend this Hotel.
    • Homely vibe, clean and staff were very helpful and welcoming.

    Cons -

    • The WiFi does not work, not in the rooms nor in the reception area. You could not watch TV as the channels did not work. There is no mobile phone signal in the rooms nor reception area, and you have to walk outside away from the Hotel to gain signal. The shower drain was blocked, and the water would rise to your ankles when you shower. The window pains were full of bird's mess and very dirty.
    • The WiFi didn’t work in our room, and the bed was rather uncomfortable.
    • Rooms in need of an upgrade. Tired and a little tatty. Soil pipe in bathroom exposed

Location was perfect. Right on the sea front. Parking not to far away and only a 5-10 minute walk from the harbour. The hotel was very clean and friendly. Vicky greeted us on arrival and showed us to our rooms. Any questions she answered and nothing was a bother. Breakfast was lovely. We came as a family of 7 and had a table waiting for us and breakfast was served. On the evening we had a couple of drinks in the lounge. I didn’t get the man’s name who was serving us. But again very polite and welcoming. Nothing was too much effort and even had a little sound system that played easy to listen to music whilst we all chatted. Would definitely come back to stay here in the future.

    I have no complaints

Amazing views overlooking the sea close to restaurants , shops and transport.

Room was cold due to wind blowing through the sash window where there is a gap . Also a small area of glass which was broken but wedged into place ( left hand side ) The toilet seat could do with replacing

Good location mark who checked us in was very nice and friendly

Just would of been nice if bar was open as it was my partners birthday and would of been nice to have been offered a drink as we had a long journey

Location was brilliant and the main reason we chose the hotel, ie close to the train station and right on the seafront, and we had booked a room with a fantastic seaview (plus a view of the clock from our room). The room was a good size and comfortable, and we loved being able to open a window for fresh air and to hear the sea.Very helpful staff on arrival and beforehand when making arrangements. We would definitely return.

Not a lot to say to say here, as it was great for our one night stay. A bigger bathroom would be nice, but it's an old building and the seaview made up for everything else!

Loved the location very central to everything mark was very friendly and made us feel very welcome the room was well equipped with everything we needed and was a good size had a lift as well which was handy and a bar / restaurant in the basement which is a nice addition would definatly stay here again

Despite being a non smoking property there was a distinct smell of smoke all over the property the window in our room was in need of urgent repair as it lets in a big drafts and you can hear everything going on in the street despite being on the top floor and there was mould in the grouting in the bathroom

    7WendyPosted on: 10-16-2024

    Location, very friendly staff

There was a very strong sewer smell in our room but we just bought air fresher to try and disguise it

    9HillPosted on: 10-16-2024

Staff really friendly and helpful. Very clean. Breakfast served fast.

    8PennyPosted on: 10-14-2024

    Very good

The people in the room above were very noisy and the floorboards creaked a lot which set the dog barking sometimes!!

    3HelenPosted on: 10-10-2024

The location and the staff were perfect

The room was advertised as a superior room, but it was well worn and dirty in places. The toilet seat was so old it had bits chipped off which left dark stains that looked like rust. The throw at the bottom of the bed was covered in watery white stains. The window ledges in the corners were filthy and one window had sellotape across a crack in the glass which must have been there months as there was a cobweb and dust hanging from it.

    6DebbiePosted on: 9-17-2024

Lovely location right on the seafront, clean and tidy, towels provided, good tea & coffee facilities

The shower was very bad and had to fight to get the cold to flow out as it was very stiff to move, also bad smell of damp and very dated

    5StuPosted on: 9-10-2024

the location and breakfast.the staff seem friendly.

you could feel the springs in the mattress..broken tiles in the bathroom.damp musty smell.i felt it was a economy room not a superior double as booked..would not recommend needs bringing into the 21st century...not value for money...

    Good location Friendly staff

    3ChristianPosted on: 8-31-2024

    Location

The room we booked was supposed to be superior but there was heavy black mould in the bathroom. The broken windows that would not close properly. The ripped and frayed carpet and the tiny bed that creaked when you moved. Also did not like the heavy smell of cannabis when entering reception

    9DemiPosted on: 8-30-2024

Mark was really helpful and gave us lots of info. The room was 33 and had a gorgeous view!

Person staying in the room next to 33 was banging late at night and early in the morning.
