Cons -
- the room was musty with dirty mouldy curtains, peeling paintwork awful dirty and grubby , bathroom was dirty, with a cracked basin in it, no towels laid out for guests, but just dumped on the bed and quite frankly a totally shabby and unfit room for a guest to stay in.
- This was a highly disappointing place to visit and stay. We arrived to a very dated and tired establishment and in good time. We were advised of our room and that it had been cleaned/ready for us (402). We made our way to the room to find it tired, full of mould and having been not cleaned to a fit enough standard for human habitation, and there was not a uselable shower in the oddly shaped bathroom and where the shower head was fitted nobody over 3 foot tall would have been able to stand and take a shower, so returned to reception to kindly make our discord felt, but met with an initial lie of 'this is the only room we have!', which was highly incorrect as the hotel was at no more than 50% occupied. We were informed that the room had been cleaned, so upon the again politely presentation of the attached photos we have give to this review, I was shouted at and informed that I was rude to be presenting these to the person (a person who was later identified as being the duty manager, and clearly in the wrong trade, if she beleives shouting at a guest is the way to deal with a valid complaining guest. Further training would be need for this person, if she was a duty manager, as calm is not in her remit at present). After a very long drawn out huffing & puffing by the duty manager, we were presented a second room in the neighbouring hotel and in the basement next to the games room/main entertainment area. This room was also next to the main road and noisy from the traffic. The experience falls very short of what should be expected for gueat to walk into. We feel everyone should know how poor this establishment is for those booking rooms and hope they get this correct before the local enviromental health team come to do an inspection of all the rooms.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was in a great location right opposite the beach. The room we had was nice a d big and with a big bathroom too.
The hotel stairs down to our room were filthy and needed a good clean. The only way to our room was to walk through the restaurant which was okay when it was quiet but not ideal when it was full of people and felt awkward.
Great locationFriendly staffComfortable room
Fantastic view, staff were amazing. The breakfast waitress was so funny and down to earth.
The toilet system was really wobbly and felt like I was going to break it most of the time.
Excellent location - friendly staff on reception - beautiful building
Outdated decor - wallpaper peeling off etc, not all plug sockets in the room worked, the toilet blocked extremely easily and light switch for the second bedroom didn't work. Room overpriced in my opinion.
There was a gentleman on the front desk who was more than helpful, always had a friendly and welcoming smile and really made the stay better for us. Holding our bags earlier than check out and later than check out meant we were able to enjoy our stay in Weymouth more. An absolute credit to the company.Although the hotel appeared to cater to the older generation. As a young family, we felt more than welcome and never felt out of place
I personally felt the bathroom was a little too small. I appreciate it is a very old building so I don't want that to deter anyone.
There was a mix up with the booking no sea view after a while realising we had been moved to the Russell hotel next door we did have a sea view
It was a small room but fine for a few days
The location and staff were fantastic. The size of the room was very good with beautiful views.
The decor of the room was awful. The walls looked like they had attempted to be painted grey, but it was extremely patchy. It looked like they had removed something from the wall but had left the foam sticker pad on the wall. Brown stains on the wall. Wallpaper peeling. The ceiling was in a poor state of repair. single pushed together to make a double but a dividing gap that was uncomfortable and couldn't be made smaller. There are no power sockets on both sides of the bed. Had to ask for a hairdryer from the reception as they are not available in the room.Mould in the bathroom, no bath mat and shower flooded the floor every time you used it.
Waitress at breakfast very friendly and polite
Checked in given room key, wasn't told about breakfast, ordering or which table. Later in ballroom ordered drinks was not told how much it cost just put card reader in front of me and no thank yous
The location of the hotel was excellent. Closed to the beach and shops and restaurants. The full English breakfast was ok.
Everything is outdated. Wallpaper is peeling of the wall. Paint on the bathroom wall was peeling. The curtains were torn. There is no Wi Fi.
Location perfect. Breakfast excellent. Lovely clean room with hot water
Location, Great friendly helpful Staff at ALL times
Restaurant a little over crowded at times
Good location, close to the beach. Reception checked us in earlier than the normal check in time.
My room is located in basement and I had allergic reaction all night so I had a very poor sleep. Reception checked me in and gave me room key without asking my name or anything, very weird. Luggage storage just leave the case on the side of hallway, not secure.
Close to train station and on see front
It’s a bit outdated and lift only goes up three levels . We were on the fourth.
Location was great, parking was free at the back of the hotel
Very outdated. Bed was terrible and the room was shabby. No Wi-Fi in the room
Comfortable beds, lots of milk and coffees,
Bathroom not cleaned, shower left with soap marks, radiator very dusty, carpet not hovered, rubish on the floor.
The guys at reception overnight was v helpful. Needed help with something and he went above and beyond to help.
The lady with glasses at reception (can't remember the name), wasn't v nice. We had greed check in before hand at 11am instead of 10. She wasn't v happy about it and said she'll be telling them off! The room was dated! Very dirty, no toiletries and very hot. There was a small fan available which didn't help!
