Pros +
- This hotel is by far the nicest we’ve stayed at in all of our visits to Weymouth. It’s perfectly located, close enough to the town to be very convenient, yet just far enough to be quiet and free of the drunken late-night noise! Our room was probably in the best location too, peer out and round to the left and you can see the sea but much more importantly it was a side-facing room and doesn’t get the intense sunshine for many hours of the day and also avoids a lot of the traffic and pedestrian noise. It was nicely and seemingly newly decorated to a high level and if I was taking part in a monetised contest of ‘Find A Spec Of Dust’, I’d be absolutely broke! This place is immaculately clean throughout from the front door right to room. The small TV played Radio 1 while we’re getting dressed, the little fridge kept our wine, cider and freshly provided milk for the fully kitted out hot drink station, perfectly chilled.I’m a heavy guy, and initially the very soft mattress made me worry that I’d not sleep particularly well and affect my back but was proven very wrong by 2 excellent nights sleep with zero discomfort.Once I figured out that the shower / mixer tap worked the opposite way round to what I’m used to, we enjoyed a lovely and hot shower with the fancy stone / beaded shower head providing skin-tingling power. There was enough closet and drawer space for a week away for a couple, maybe bring your own hangers if you’re bringing more than half a dozen shirts / dresses. The breakfasts were cooked freshly and were the best, tastiest and oil-less breakfasts I’ve had on a mini-break. Excellent quality meats and cooked to perfection. A good choice of muesli / cereals on offer too, with fresh fruits available to go with the great choice of yoghurts. The view out of the restaurant is looking directly over the beach and sea, a lovely setting. The whole experience of this lovely hotel is topped off by the wonderful owners, Richard and Theresa.
- I have been going to Weymouth for 20 years and have stayed in many b&b's, I can honestly say this is far the best place I have stayed. Its quirky, very clean and so welcoming. The breakfast was 2nd to non, the owners are so friendly I felt as though I had known them for years. Everything about my holiday was just perfect mostly down to the Lawrence of Arabia b&b. I could not complain about anything, their knowledge about Lawrence of Arabia was fascinating. I will not stay anywhere else when I go to Weymouth it will always be this b&b. Cheerful, friendly, very clean, breakfast was amazing(so much of it) helpful, basically everything you want when staying in Weymouth. Gets my vote everytime.
- My partner Alan and I stayed here for two nights, lovely old building with lots of memorabilia and information related to Lawrence of Arabia (History buffs you will love this) which was very interesting.Lovely beachfront location with a large shared lounge where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful panoramic sea views.Room was very clean with a lovely comfortable bed.The 7 Pillars breakfast was absolutely outstanding - all locally sourced produce - I am not normally a cooked breakfast fan but easily managed to wolf this down - uhmm - delicious. The hosts Richard and Theresa were lovely and friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area and everything regarding Lawrence of Arabia. We will definitely return here!
Cons -
- There was nothing not to like.
- Mugs would of been better than tea cups but that’s just our personal preference!
- Dated and funky. Not accessible, poorly lit hallways. Proprietors wanted to please, but seemed a bit overwhelmed. Breakfast served 9-10 only, but very generous portions.

Great location. Right on the beach. Near the shops, bus stops and train station
Comfortable beds, great location, nice amenities, spacious room.
Dated and funky. Not accessible, poorly lit hallways. Proprietors wanted to please, but seemed a bit overwhelmed. Breakfast served 9-10 only, but very generous portions.
The hosts were wonderful, friendly persons. Seven pillars breakfast is great and recommended. We liked the view of the sea. Thank you for your hospitality.
Nice historic building, truly home cooked breakfasts, and interesting lounge on 2nd floor with lots of history books about the town and area.We were in the sea view room and went to sleep each night with the full moon on the water, woke up to the sun rising over the cliffs.
Bathroom small but adequate. After all, it is an old inn on the historic registry.
We LOVED the Al'Ula breakfast for 2 which you need to order the previous day; the different middle eastern cheeses, Fava beans and peanut butter with the kuboos was pure heaven. An authentic Lawrence of Arabia experience with the amazing food, decor and stories of Saudi Arabia by the friendly hosts Teresa and Richard.Lovely sea views from the lounge with the palms. The room itself was comfortable, clean with a side view of the sea. The bathroom was clean and adequate. All in all a memorable stay and would definitely recommend it to others visiting weymouth.
The hallway and lounge had a bit of a musty smell, but apart from that, everything was lovely.
Welcoming hosts, comfortable hotel with loads of atmosphere, right on the seafront and a delicious breakfast.
Good location, very welcoming and room was very comfy and clean
A short stay to celebrate my birthday, Richard & Teresa (the proprieters) made us very welcome opened up the upstairs lounge and gave us a bottle of bubbly and nibbles to celebrate. The hotel is themed throughout to Laurence of Arabia as a tribute to Teresa's great, great Uncle. We had a wonderful stay in Weymouth having returned after 55 years to the town where we got engaged.
The weather was bitterly cold, but the welcome was very warm.
The owners were lovely to chat to and they have created a really interesting place to stay. The breakfast was excellent and nicely presented. I got adventurous and had the Al' Ula breakfast, which was a mixture of hot and cold dishes. A great opportunity to try something new.Our room was delightfully decorated and very comfortable (best room in the house, overlooking the sea). The hotel is with easy access to the station and for getting into the town.
Our timing for our break wasn't good. We were there during a storm so the wind was very noisy. Also, we live in a really quiet place so we were very aware of road noise.
The location is excellent - we had an amazing room with a full sea view. The bed was super comfortable and the room was a generous size. The bathroom/shower is small but perfectly adequate. The room had a kettle for tea and a large glass bottle of water which was replaced daily - a nice touch! Breakfast was delicious and the host was so accommodating with an earlier breakfast on our last day as we had to catch a train. The hotel is completely themed around Lawrence of Arabia - and the hosts are very enthusiastic - not why we chose it, but interesting all the same.
I can’t think of anything! We had an amazing lovely stay.
Great location directly by the beach, great property with high grounds and character, hotel themed nicely for interest, fabulous lounge to spend time in. Friendly and professional service from Richard and Theresa. Great full English breakfast complete with Hogs Pudding - a must try, and delicious local delicacy.
The hotel is ideally placed on the seafront being within a few minutes walk of the railway station and bus stops. It is clean, comfortable and well appointed and the hosts were friendly, helpfulAll pubs, shops and restaurants are within a short walk and along with the beach, there are a number of places of interest within easy reach. The best bits; the comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast cooked to order.
Nothing in particular. The lighting could be a bit brighter and the shower a bit more powerful, but overall it was hard to find fault.
very nice and friendly hosts. Clean and comfortable beds, each room has its story related to Lawrence . Good breakfast as well . Highly recommended .
Very welcoming hosts who happily shared their knowledge of the local area. Their hotel is a homage to T. E Lawrence, full of interesting artefacts and articles. The rooms are themed accordingly. The comfortable upstairs sittingroom overlooks the beach and there are even binoculars availablle to scan the horizon! The linen is of excellent quality, toiletries are provided and the beds are extremely comfy. Breakfast was fabulous and cooked to order with plenty of choice. Richard and Theresa have put a great deal of thought, care and attention to detail into providing a unique environmemt for their hotel guests.
Lovely place, good breakfast and very nice hosts.
The hotel was clean, the ambiance and theme were great and the food and staff were fantastic.
Great location opposite the beach. Friendly hosts. Nicely decorated room very clean. Bars restaurants and shops close by.
