    Pros +

    • Clean and friendly
    • The staff were friendly and efficient. Rooms, although dated, were comfortable and spotlessly clean. Free breakfast was a real bonus for the price we paid for the room. Basic, but a selection of fresh fruit ,yogurts and pastries with good coffee.Great location(just round the corner,) for the Pavilion theatre,a few bars and restaurants.
    • Location

    Cons -

    • Sash windows banged due to wind
    • Room too hot, mattress was rock hard, shower was not powerful. I’m not surprised they don’t charge for continental breakfast as it was an embarrassment
    • If a claustrophobic family member had been with us they’d have struggled with the rabbit warren style corridors!

Lovely light and bright room Spacious with good view over square

Parking is difficult and expensive. There is a discount available for the multi storey car park from Worthing Council for hotel guests. It would have been helpful if the hotel had informed me about this . Instead I had to spend time searching the Internet. The breakfast was free but a bit disappointing….very basic takeaway items.

We got put in an old room at the back that hadn't been updated in decades ,thankfully they moved us into another room

The rooms at the back have uneven floors and slanted ceiling and the bathrooms need modernising

The vintage decor and original design elements. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My TV did not work and they assisted me and sorted out the problem.

The pastries were not fresh and no plain yoghurt for breakfast. (I appreciate that it is complementary )

It was a very nice place to stay staff were nice helpful and very well kept

The bed moved abit and it kinda felt like you were always drunk as the floor was unlevel but it’s an old building

Great location, friendly staff, free breakfast but only pastries.

They warned me about the room being on a slope and offered an upgrade if I paid extra. The shower was poor and room was tired.

    10StevePosted on: 2-17-2026

Reception staff were excellent, had problems with tv reception in room staff came up immediately to try and resolve problem, and then offered for us to move rooms to the one next door after they had tested Tv reception on other room. The girl from reception was brilliant, polite and helpful. A credit to the hotel

It looked great from the outside

There were no facilities open and the breakfast was awful . It took us an hour to park… do not stay here if you are driving a long way and want to park

    Location was great

Massively disappointed as we missed breakfast, we were not told time upon check in, nor was this stated on any guest information or on Booking.com. Feel really let down as had a great stay previously so brought our little one back this time. Shame to end our stay that way

    7PaulPosted on: 2-16-2026

Very comfortable bed. Good, warm room.

Breakfast could have been better, with some fruit or cheese.
