Size of room
Over priced for the facilities received. For a price of £137 very limited extras in the room (a Deluxe double)Hotel appeared tiered.
Our room and ensuite were both of a good size and having a sofa and additional chairs made it very comfortable. The bed linen and towels were of good quality and there was plenty of storage space. The breakfast which was included was excellent and the staff were very helpful with excellent communication throughout.
It is a shame that the outside of the hotel itself is not in better condition- whilst I appreciate it is a historic building right on the sea front (which brings it's own challenges) it looks very tired. The full length windows to our balcony were permanently shut, the paint on the window frames is peeling badly and the roof of the balcony looks like it might collapse at any point! This didn't impact on our stay as it was wet and windy but it would be disappointing if the weather had been better.
Great views ~ comfy bed - clean
What a loverly hotel we were made to feel welcome staff were polite and friendly our room was very nice and comfortable the food was very nice a very nice stay and would stay again great location but I am sorry to say breakfast was very nice but we had to wait a little while we were taken to z table and told were were very thing was I could not find the juice then I asked ons of the 2 waitress and she replied il get you some what woukd you like we were not given a menue to order breakfast we had to ask we then asked for a pot of tea and we had to wait and ask again , we arrived in the dinning area about 9 .20 am and we were nit able to order breakfast till about 10.10 am when the food arrived was very nice thank you
Our satay was very nice the complaint was the wait for service
Staff were engaging. Small compact bathroom was well designed.
No USB charging points mean you need a converter plug if from overseas.
We were given a free upgrade, which was a lovely touch. The bed was very comfortable and the room was big with a separate settee. Breakfast was varied. Can recommend the full English!
The room didn’t seem warm enough, although the heating was on. But as the room was large and it was the middle of January it probably needed an extra portable heater.
Lovely big room, very clean and tidy. Friendly staff, very comfortable bed and great sea views.
Single glazed windows so it was abit cold at times but still a wonderful hotel stay
Passable
I felt very cold in the room. There was so much draught through the window which was facing the sea and the radiators were off.
The cooked breakfast was not very good.
The sausage and beans were cold, the pot of tea wasn't hot either.
Excellent staff in all areas, nice restaurant, interesting history, unobtrusive but upscale interior design. Goldilocks mattress and pillows. Shower screen with bidet-able side hatch/window
1. Great views deserve windows that are cleaned more often. The 50-shades-of-grime streaks on bedroom windows detract from full enjoyment of sunrise and sunset from the corner rooms or side rooms at the frontWe're aware of the need to maintain historical structures and aren't averse to crumbling exterior plaster / mortar or rusty wrought iron, nor flaky window frame paint - all shabby chic. But dirty windows are pretty much just shabby [blank]hi[blank].2. The TV in the otherwise lovely Sea Pearl restaurant. The one that looks awkwardly close to being from a Sky Sports ™®© venue or a World CupThe one that played a 4k fireplace. In the middle of a window. That one
The position and the staff Comfortable rooms.
The drinks were very expensive
Located right on the seafront, and short walk to shops. Room was clean and tidy. Had a good nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. Great sea views. Staff are faultless, all were friendly and helpful.
Nothing constructive to add.
Great location friendly staff and great welcome
No usb charger pointsDoors banging alotInternet only tv no local tv service
The hotel is located on the seafront and not far from the town. The breakfast was good quality and well cooked - we also ate dinner at the restaurant one night which was equally as good with lovely sea views. We booked two rooms - a single and double - both rooms were spacious and clean and they put the rooms next to each other as requested. They also provided water and biscuits which was a nice touch.
The bathroom of the single room could do with a refresh. This was a big contrast to the double room bathroom which was new and well decorated.
Clean, tidy with well appointed rooms and friendly competent staff.
Location, small size, friendly staff
Old building, no double glazing
The position is amazing. Right on the front. It is an elegant building. I had the small room and although it was comfortable, the beautiful old window was not working properly and the bathroom is quite out-dated.
Apart from the very old bathroom, this is a lovely place to stay.
